I am assuming you want the 3s models, cause the rest are kinda sad (dont think we have many of the rest here anyway). Well the caldina is a proven car, parts are not that difficult, the caldina or 3s clubs can lead you the way when it comes to parts. One other point though, the caldina will drink alot more fuel than the m6... problem would be looking for an untrashed unit. many of these as well altezzas, celicas, and most older performance oriented cars have been abused at one point of their lives and you can tell. (personally trashing once in awhile is part and parcel of a sports car's life, but so long as the owner keeps it in good cond, thats alright, its built to take some punishment)

just a point ya, if you are in it for the caldina's power, u can also consider the turbo airtreks....
imo airtrek is a better machine if you are just in it for the power..... looks wise really subjective . mechanically, lots are shared with the evo series and the gearbox is really lasak even if you want to push 400 or so hp. (from what i was told)

few easy ways to check for the existence of vsc
1) drive like a manic...  swing car suddenly. if you lose control, no vsc  (not advised for obvious reasons)
2) check fusebox. vsc module should have its own fuse, if blank, no vsc (u might need to read japanese)
3) you always have the icons on the dash.... check if vsc light pops up

For GRX120, yes only the sports package has the VSC.
That's a facelifted GRX120 (year 2007-2009) but not yet S package. The S package has all black interior.
Yes the VSC only lights up/blinking when it got activated (by sliding) or has a problem.

The pros? It's more powerful, and has a nicer interior (at least to me it does). Large support for aftermarket parts. End of the day its pretty much a lancer. Parts are very easy and will be easily obtainable for years to come.
You do however lose out on the ESC, and it's still got the badge which some consider to be a sign of everything in life gone wrong and unfortunately... Many lalabengs give the car a slightly bad name
