Hello LYN,
I need some advise with the current choice. I currently owned Civic FD 1.8 year 2011 which is due to finally free from loan next year and another Myvi 1.3 ezi 2006. My question: 1. Is it worth to keep the FD for more than 10 years or should consider changing? (Mileage 85k only. Possible wear and tear major service? 2. Recently did major service for the Myvi replaced compressor & condenser set + engine mounting + few other thing cost nearly 6k. Should I keep this or might as well let it go before more money need to maintain? 3. Is it worth to change to newer USED car below considering the seating capacity: 1. Honda BRV year 2017 RM68k 2. XTrail year 2016 RM 75k.
Prefer not to get new car at this stage. Thanks for the advise.

QUOTE(zenix @ Jul 29 2019, 06:33 PM) [/spoiler] You're planning to replace the Civic with a BRV or X-Trail? I do think the Civic is a good car and will last you at least until 200k km's if you treat it well. Thanks for replying. Thinking of BRV bro.

QUOTE(zenix @ Jul 31 2019, 02:05 PM) I'll lump BRV, Alza, Avanza and Rush into the same category. Basically they're B-segment platform cars elongated to serve as SUV/MPV/Crossover with higher ground clearance. If your family is small size type it should be fine, however if you're big size or tall, you might need to think of something bigger like X-Gear, Livina, Stream, Wish as they're from C-segment platform. 2011 Nissan Mrano 2.5 - this is the second gen Murano and this particular ad is offering an unreg for 90k (of course there are used at even cheaper prices) and the good thing about unreg cars is able to get new car loan rates and choose number plate (just like buying new car). If you do call this advert remember it is a 2011 car so make sure you get a good deal, test drive the car makes sure everything working and get at least 1 year warranty to cover the engine and gearbox (1 warranty should be provided free). Being an import model you might be worried about parts issue no need to worry as the 2.5cc version uses the same QR25DE engine as the current Nissan X-Trail, I don't have the details for the gearbox but it should be the same as the one in the X-Trail. So basically the X-Trail is a newer budget version of the Murano. Thank for the detail update @zenix In a way you are saying that XTrail will be a better choice for a newer model? I have the option for a 2015 X-Trail though. Test drove the BRV indeed very compact elongated car.
