im confused.....
getz
-much older..... and much cheaper
-not exactly a cheap and cheerful car. Cheap to buy, not very cheap to maintain

i10
-to me this is like a getz replacement
-not sure about maintanance dont think it will be that cheap, (cost price to maintanance ratio ofc)

axia
-wait what... new for 20k or less ??!!
-cheaper to maintain (im sure) than the 2 above
-better mileage than the 2 above
-im also sure its out of your budget

satria neo
-simple no problems
-makan minyak je

Thanks Ism1991 for your reply,

I have no issue to extend my budget a bit, new Axia cost RM35k, but considering its quite high to purchase cash, so I'm opt for different brands.

Satria Neo sounds interesting. Any other car you would think of?

your budget seems abit.... welll looks like its not really 20k....
(am not sure bout this, but i thought perodua sells their cars on loans~~ u mau bayar cash also they duwan to accept  sweat.gif, that is what happened to my aunt 3-4 yrs back, she went all over the place but all wanted to sell WITH a loan...)

a neo for 20k would be an older NON-cps model.. if you can afford it, get a newer, more fun (manual for alot lot more fun) cps unit (around 25-30k from a dealer, pretty sure you can get a decent unit for 25 or so from an owner)
note that, the neo is more of a 'performance' oriented car. It is NOT frugal. It is also an older car so dont find an abused/modified unit if you do go this route.

there is also zenix's favorite goto latio which will do the job. reliable, reasonable maintanance, cheap to buy.

Hahaha that's what I said I have no issue to extend my budget, but considering I'm buying liability in cash, so I hope to find it really worth it.

Latio is a good choice, I thought of this earlier no wonder the price tak jatuh. I'll take a look on that options too.

Thanks!

Thanks lsm1991 and Zenith for all your input,

Had made decision, I know this might not pleased some people but as long as my wife please with it I'm okey.

I go for Suzuki Alto, good EEV might be underpowered but considering to ferry kids to school and easy to go to pasar beli ikan. LOL

Safety wise it has ABS, dual airbag, EBD and ESP.

Maintenance since Suzuki and Proton is collaborating together, I found it should be easy to find parts.
