Hi all, does anyone familiar with Suzuki Swift Sport ZC32 and Mazda 3 MPS?
Are these 2 cars easy to maintain and reliable? Is there any problem?
I am considering between these 2 models recently. Thank you

If you're looking for the hot version iinm it is ZC32S is a 1.5NA with 6speed manual gearbox.
Where the MPS is a FF 2.0 turbo also manual.

Both are in different categories of space, spec, and speed.

However, the SSS on paper would be cheaper to maintain as it doesn't have anything fancy.
Though checkout local workshops around you before committing as Swift numbers decline after the brand pulled out of the country spare parts prices are going up or not available.

Hi, thank you very much for your reply. i had asked some people around that saying the spare parts still not difficult to find.
Just that i have more concernt on the reliability
While for MPS i heard that it has reliability issue but i am wondering is it true that's why would like to get more opinion.

1. Brand : Japanese
2. Budget : 145K
3. New/Used/Unreg : Doesn't matters.
4. Specs : -
5. Transmission : Prefer auto/ manual if possible, kinda worry on CVT
6. NA or FI :
7. Type : 4 seater.
8. Remarks : 1st choice: sedan, second: SUV, hatchback

Curretly in my list:
1. new Civic( concern on steering rack, suspension issues. and CVT reliability)
2. used Mazda 3 sedan, year made 2021 onwards( a bit pricey for its range)
3. new CX-30 ( lack of advance safety features for this price range)
4. used Lexus IS250 year made 2013-2015 (a lot of saying Lexus is realible but still have concern on repair cost and maintenance due to it is luxury car)

My first choice would be Mazda 3 sedan but it is quite rare and I feel a bit overprice in the used car market now although their new car is higher price too.
I prefer to get a car that allow me to enjoy driving but at the same time I might need to bring my parents out on weekend activities.

Also i would like to know is it safe to buy used Lexus that is around 10 years old?

if you're going to consider something for old people
then you should consider something with crossover or suv height because it is easier for them to get in and out
sedan cars especially mazda3 and civic are sporty in nature so it is like "sitting on the floor" for them

2018 Toyota Harrier 2.0 - this example is an unreg, meaning it is a used/demo/showroom car from overseas not yet registered in Malaysia so you can buy and treat it like a new car, e.g. new car interest rates for loan and new car number plate you can choose. Usually these imports are brought in by grades, when you go to the showroom to see look for the better grades and but stick within a reasonable budget in your head if not the salesman will bring you to Holland. Maintainence for this is going to be relatively cheap because it uses the same engine as the Toyota Wish and Voxy (baby vellfire) a normal 2000cc that will be within the same maintainence bill as a 2000cc civic or altis.
Hi, thank you for replying.

Thank you for your suggestion, i did consider to get this Harrier previously but i thought Harrier maintenance is quite high, I mean like after all it is a 250k to 300k car. hmm.gif
