I know there are few Cataphract here maybe you can help me decide:

Swordsman 1+ Peltasta 1+ Hoplite 1+ Cataphract 3+ Dragoon 1 = Peltasta for Swash Buckling, Hoplite for Use One-handed Spears, I have seen people use sword for Stabbing.

Swordsman 3+ Cataphract 3 = not sure how good this build is, I'm guessing you use combo to stunning and Bleeding?

Swordsman 2+ Hoplite 1+ Cataphract 3 = stunning and Bleeding too? no body want you in the party because no Swash Buckling, so go solo

P.S: I want it too be PVE main, stat maybe 40-50 DEX, 100 CON then all in STR? or 1 STR, 1 CON, 1 DEX every 3 level?

Anice party but u will waste the draggoon 2H spear effect/benefit if you use shield

but u get the benefit of manual block and taunting

bi think this is the best Pvp build

as for skilll point you can reset it.. 21myr (but reset potion as tp seller npc)

answer 1 : this is standard cata for pve. Dont worry about PVP too much because you'll mostly use Trot+Rush only.

answer2 : this is my build, no, you hardly able to combo bleeding+stun, because Restrain stun 1sec only. This build is the standard pvp build. You mostly use PainBarrier+Restrain+Rush+Trot

answer3: dont worry too much about lv280 because the game still new.. You can solo up to lv240+ if you dont mind slow leveling (daily dungeon/mission and questing for 1month, you can reach lv240 no problem.) This is a good build.

suggestion: sw2 pelt1 cata3 dragoon
explaination : you get Restrain lv5, Swash + Guardian/evasion18% +Shield C Block + Trot + Rush . This going to be my 3rd character going 1str 1con 1spr 1dex.

yo, I know you are, I also wait your answer, your suggestion looks good, what you think about hoplite "Stabbing"?? damage better then most cataphract skill? the thought of you have to manually attacking make me feel tired, BTW what key do it use if play with mouse(WASD) for that skill?

Stabbing by its own deal alot damage on a target.
That being said, if your monster have high hp, and you have Pain Barrier up, you definitely enjoy the DPS

Otherwise, if the monster is multiple and short HP, you will rather use some other big AOE skill like EarthWave.
Another problem with Stabbing is the 25sec cd.
If Stabbing 1 or 2 or 3 monster dealing 10kdmg each for 25sec,
Earthwave can deal 10k DMG to 2/3/4/5 monster every 8sec.

So eitherway, adding Hoplite to your Cata is a luxury/utility, but not a necessary.
Choose your path wisely, pick the class you enjoy playing.

And no, you can just hold the Stabbing key, it will do full Stabbing skill.

Some rumor say you able to change direction of Stabbing in mouse mode, but i only play on keyboard so i dont really know.

For SteedCharge, i rarely have the chance to use it on TBL, but having another knockdown skill is better than not having it at all.
Through my experience playing this Cata3 of mine, i rarely use SteedCharge. But i glad i have the skill at all.

So its up to you.

Standard Cata3 skill distribution is Trot15, Earthwave15, Rush5, DoomSpike9, Impaler1

i rather keep trot level 14

swap weapon to galin trident
before activate trot lvl 14

yes, by all mean, distribute the skills as you like.
