hello,i dont know if i can ask here, but i still ask anyway. where i can find gtx 1070 palit gamerock in local store in miri, sarawak? all i can find is fe,asus, msi, gigabyte.
Wow, my hometown ( Krokop ) Can find FE there ? Best bet for Palit gamerock I think is gemfive, as they ship to you and got discount.
Finally test a bit on X34, G-sync indeed are awesome tech. Even my GPU wont able to reach or near 100fps, at 40fps I could see the benefit of high frequency display and sync tech, panning around really fast and could see no stutter ( although still blur due to low fps )
Did my own test on the DPC issue using LatencyMon (correction latest version supports Windows 10). I ran LatencyMon capture a couple of times, let it run in the background while I do other stuff on my PC, like opening Chrome, watch Youtube, open a couple of pictures, open and close BF4 game.
[attachmentid=7190550] With driver 368.81, the Nvlddmkm.sys average highest execution time was around 4 ms (I've seen as high as 6 ms). The last run, I captured for 57 seconds, Nvlddmkm.sys total execution time within that period was 2,002 ms.
[attachmentid=7190578] Did DDU clean of driver, and install 368.95 hotfix driver. Ran LatencyMon a couple of times. This time Nvlddmkm.sys was roughly around 1ms (seen as high as 2 ms). The last run, I captured for 57 seconds, Nvlddmkm.sys total execution time within that period was 277 ms only.
So looks like the hotfix does help. Also note that I'm running SLI, so the DPC issues is even worse compared to single GPU setup.
I don't know if it effects gaming performance in anyway. But here's my logic, before hotfix, Nvlddmkm.sys execute can take as long as 4 ms. If target 60 fps needs consistent 16.67 ms frametime, adding 4 ms means fps can drop to 50 (if it happens every single time a frame is drawn).
I just downloaded and installed .95 hotfix yesterday but doesnt looks like it's improving. Mine result hover around 100-200 with spike to 2000 reported culprit at nVidia stuff. Will do clean install again and test, or maybe other driver/stuff affecting, as I just install this Xonar unified driver for sound card few days back.

haha been resisting since kepler and still counting
Should be no issue for me ( to resist ), that price tag wall too high by the time I save enough money, next gen come out already
The score is taken from guru3d as reference. Based on these links, let's do some comparisons.
If DX12 is your concern, well, the score is 3 : 2. Green team wins. Well, if you take Vulkan into the DX12 score, it's 3 : 3. It's a tie. DX11, green team tapau the red team. DX11/12/Vulkan final score, 12 : 3. Green team wins.
Next, let's do overclocking. Real world overclocking that reflects the actual FPS increase. - MSI GTX1060, with 10% OC headroom on actual real-world result - GTX 980, with 13% OC headroom on actual real-world result - GTX 970, with 13% OC headroom on actual real-world result - RX480, with 6% OC headroom on actual real-world result If DX12 & Vulkan are your concerns, well, the score is 4 : 2. Green team wins. DX11/12/Vulkan final score, 13 : 2. Green team wins.
Heard people give high ratings on Sapphire Nitro+ RX480 OC. We do comparisons with these videos then.
MSI GTX1060 is used, OC results as shown in video. GTX980, with +13% OC headroom. GTX970, with +13% OC headroom. Sapphire Nitro+ RX480, OC results as shown in video. For overclocked cards, green team tapau red team in all DX12 benchmarks. Well, if you take Vulkan into DX12 score, it's 3:1. Green team wins. DX11/12/Vulkan final score, 8 : 1. Green team wins.
Kek.
P/S - First things first, don't ask me how or why. I just picked the figures from either the website or the videos. You can see it for yourself. Credit given to those reviewers. - If you can get a GTX980 cheap, get it (i.e. MYR800-900). See the score card, it ain't bad. - How could GTX980 outperfoms GTX1060? well, I simply slapped 9 ten% OC headroom on GTX1060, while GTX980 enjoiced thirteen% OC headroom. GTX980 wins some. GTX1060 loses some. - Wait, you asked why RX480 low class? - If you wanna argue AIB RX480 has higher OC headroom, you go check above video, eteknix' review on Sapphire Nitro+ RX480 and Techpowerup's review on Asus RX480 Strix. You do your own calculation on OC headroom of RX480.
Awesome work Generally I dont really care on which team, as long they are better. That's why for few years I only stick with Intel and nVidia, although dont like it when they monopolized higher end market. If AMD + AMD combo, or other combo can dabao above, I may jump ship. I'm not going to buy Fury and then hope after one year or so, when next gen tech ( DX12 ) comes, it finally give huge boost of performance.

SomeonesimYeah, its that Nvidia nvlddmkm.sys kernel driver. Read from GeForce forum that Maxwell don't have the high DPC issue like Pascal (same PC sawp between GTX 1080 and GTX Titan). And in my case, I can see dxgkernel.sys (DirectX Graphic Kernel) also reported as highest ISR execution time. Don't know if DPC and ISR is correlated, but if it does, looks like it does effect graphic performance.
I've done some frame-time/ pacing benchmark analysis last night. I'll put it in the Hardware section later. Hopefully you can eat more racun after reading it.
Not sure placebo effect or was it after upgrade to higher resolution display, yesterday typing in FB also felt like with higher latency
Unless those factory OC 1060 are cheap, like few hundred ringgit cheaper, also there's no reason that cheapest 1070 cant OC. Nowaday OC software quite popular and stable, OC just few clicks and done.
Ah well to be fair, you're comparing RM 1400 GTX 1060 which is readily available vs GTX 1070 at RM 1770 or whatever that's subjected to availability.
They can't do that for long, it's just 1 brand, 1 model to what I know. tldr : that's comparing retail price to seasonal sale.
If they can do that for 1070 at Gemfive, very likely they will do that for 1060 at the same place too.
As long as Gemfive still competing to s̶t̶e̶a̶l̶ get more customer from Lazada, they should continue to have good discount coupon.

Now even Gemfive Google Ads appear on this thread, highlighting all them PALIT cards.
Maybe it's one of best selling high price item now

Love my PALIT JETSTREAM, feel solid and big, it is a very good looking card(but FE have the best design). The PALIT LED and design very match with my razer H440.
Now i am finding green LED ram, anyone know what alternative do i have other than Avexir Core Series DDR3-1600 green?
that a bit over, and i don't like those flashy effect. matte LED is enough.
What do you think about Corsair Liquid cooling H55? Plan to OC my i5 750 to 4 ghz.
If the liquid leak then my rig consider gone?
If really want, can buy those with less LED, less flashy and with controller. I got this NZXT LED strip ( forgot the name/model ) with controller and 3 brightness setting. Recently installed in white H440 case, see tonight can take photo and show off or not
Just noob in WC so not too sure, but I think it should have not issue handle 4GHz. Make sure your case can suck out hot air inside then should be good
EDIT: AIO type should be fine. If you custom build then have to be careful. My first trial leaks ( power disconnected of coz )

Protip, use the PCIE cable as leverage to hold it in place
Didnt design it that way as I want to use solid holder.

Those white hoses need to make another pit stop. And those PVC tubes are way lighter than aluminum/ copper heatsink. You know what I mean. He he he bending problem be gone.
Juz share v u guys a cheap GPU lifter to prevent ur GPU sagging . Go Mr DIY find tension rod which cost <RM5 thn mod the length , use a saw to cut the outer rod 1st after tht leave few cm high for inner rod and cut the inner rod because if u cut both outer and inner rod together thn u cant twist the inner rod to adjust the height . Done that for my ex , gtx1070
yes that's what part of me said in my mind.. but another part of me always counter back by saying "i'm not comfortable spending another RM300-RM400 more" besides, i only have a 60Hz Dell S2415H IPS 21.8" IPS. No plans on changing to 144Hz or G-sync monitor anytime soon or for the next 2-3 years, so getting a GTX1070 is quite overkill
If you're not planning for GPU upgrade in next 2-3 years also, 1060 will be suffer.
but RX480 taking ages to release i'm kinda swing to GTX1060 now add 300 can buy palit 1070, but add 300 more can get msi or other 1070..the add 300 again...it goes on and on
same lah..that zotac mini is small not intimidating below my big noctua cooler lol..also my previous card a zotac so i dont want buy zotac again..so far never owned MSI gpu before..might as well try
Thing is, you get 20-30% boost in performance from 1060 to 1070 with few hundred extra. Difference between normal price 1070 and high clocked 1070 maybe 5-10% increase only.
Argh that guy keeps telling people to avoid Zotac without stating any reason LOL
Some people got one bad experience and will go around shout/scold.

i think he mad at zotac bcause of the promo 970..he is selling his lol
LMAO

I am also considering to sell away my old Asus Geforce GTX 970 Strix and get a Palit Geforce GTX1070 or other cheap brands where available for my Malaysian PC.
The poison is strong indeed.
Better sell now, scare later 2nd hand price keep falling
