RMN4 seems also feature dual camera.. is it me or they want become another samseng.. releases a lot variants lel.. sony did this before and it costs them a lot, well samseng in the other hand..got lots of cash.
so yeah software support ..you guys know how slow miui to adapt new android version anyway.

also regarding on official bootloader unlock, some people said can unlock via global stable or dev global rom..but high chance it will fail at 50% (yes i tried)
mine unlocked on china dev rom instantly...so just flash china dev rom if you want to unlock, after unlock can just flash back to global rom..

well there is saying on santosh's one will relock bootloader  .. and others don't..but kejap nampak any cm13 will relock.. so yeah hassle. |

also those on high wakelock or battery drain..makesure disable miui mi cloud gallery sync ..it will causing your device be awake even tho all the pictures synced.
prefer alternative such as google photos or dropbox coz micloud is damn slow for users outside china

there is now custom kernel for miui 8 ..supposed working with miui 7 as well. http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note...kernel-t3414884obviously you'll need to unlock bootloader to test |

there is leaked 6.7.21 MM build for redmi note 3..instead of releasing 5.1 miui 8, they mistakenly linked the MM build..but was quick to took it down. there is a thread in xda if anyone wanna try the MM build.
guess MM build miui 8 for redmi note 8 will come soon
