If you search back few pages, or the previous thread, I'm quite sure there were quite some discussion on Tenggol.

QUOTE(vmt @ Aug 3 2016, 06:12 PM) My brief talk with guy from Tenggol Scuba 101 said we gonna stay on mainland and boat out everyday... Yup. They are based on the mainland. Which is good. Because there's phone signal connection there. Whereas on island, send out SMS also susah. 🙄 Plus all the sandflies. Haha. |

Cause not everyone can dive. Majority can, but not everyone enjoys it also. Some of my friends really want to dive, but certain things stop them from taking the OW license.
DSD is only RM200 or so only. So why not try it out before really investing in an OW license? When I did it years back, it was prolly below RM100 haha. |

QUOTE(EvanSoon @ Aug 8 2016, 09:17 PM) Why joo no rike Tenggol?QUOTE(wildan03 @ Aug 8 2016, 09:44 PM) Good choice. QUOTE(jay5840 @ Aug 8 2016, 10:10 PM) oooo..... less tourist is good. haha. i like less tourist. but the price is a bit expensive if compares to tioman. AOW will help fine tune your skills and prep you for more challenging leisure dives in the future. It's not that difficult and I would say if you have the time and opportunity to go ahead and do both together, then go ahead.Hmmm.. is that good to take advance together. Coz they recommend to take it once as the price is about the same for fun dives 3d/2n. But I just hv OW n not much dive then.... not sure is better take it once or later. How bout urs guys with super experience already advice I personally prefer to have a few dives first to get used to the whole diving thing then learn the additional AOW knowledge. It's really up to you though. QUOTE(dps404 @ Aug 8 2016, 11:55 PM) Hahaha. Wait till someone poisons you on uw photography.Which color did you get? The pastel colors are sooo |

QUOTE(jay5840 @ Aug 9 2016, 09:13 AM) A bit hard to choose, haha. feel have few dives first then AOWD. On the other side, upgrade to AOWD with same cost paying for fun dives... Haha. Really up to you. I also like to experience different environment and instructors so if I were you, I would just do leisure and do my AOW with someone else. With more dives, you get to meet more people and maybe get an idea of what kind of instructor you wanna engage in the future. My OW, AOW, Rescue, Nitrox and Sidemount certs all done by different instructors QUOTE(dps404 @ Aug 9 2016, 09:34 AM) Under water photography looks pretty interesting. But i'll leave that till I'm really good with my buoyancy first. Good decision Lime is sexy! Have fun underwater! |

QUOTE(KiraTomaru @ Aug 11 2016, 09:38 AM) actually it has, if i recall its 50 logged although i noticed not all PADI 5 star shops list them which is a bit tad odd.. If I'm not mistaken. It is minimum 40 logged dives for dive master course. Highly doubt Padi standards is min 50 for AOW. Some instructors I know do implement their own min logged dives for rescue course. Some dive sites are generally more challenging and naturally require more experience even for leisure divers, e.g. Komodo, Sophie wreck at Weh, magnet at Lombok and so on. QUOTE(uturn @ Aug 11 2016, 09:58 AM) Haha.. guess I need to bring my own shieldtox. At nite where to hang out ah?.. Haha Salang very small only. I guess the restaurant right in front of the jetty more happening at night. I also haven't been there lately, have been frequenting Tekek more last year. Before this always lepak Tekek only never to Salang. |

QUOTE(koonghx @ Aug 11 2016, 12:55 PM) Wow such green water.QUOTE(KiraTomaru @ Aug 11 2016, 12:57 PM) isnt this the lady who refused help and oddly enough ripped her mask out out of the blue after accidentally coughing her regulator out? When a diver panics, such cases are not uncommon. You'll learn this during your rescue diver course. They also will rip your mask and regulator off your face and push you further into the water most of the time. This post has been edited by munkeyflo: Aug 11 2016, 01:40 PM |
