say out of curiosity if you had new equipment but wanted to do a swimming pool dive just to test where would you recommend doing + how do they charge for pool/tank usage? assuming you are from around PJ although im away again on a brief stint...

Just got my OWD last week from Perhentian. I did my Theory on land, and my confined water in island. I almost gave up on my 1st confined water and wondering why pay money for torturing myself and nothing fun about diving. (not enough sleep the night before; 2 hours only and panic) LOL.

But, I got a very good and patience DI which keep encouraging. My family booked a trip next year April, so I thought take this opportunity to dive as well.

I don't wish to do my 1st dive after my OWD next year where I can't practice before  hand and enjoy my dive. Any-place nearby which able to dive during Dec/Jan.?

hmm...just an extra question for the pool usage fees do we pay directly to the sports center or is it paid along with equipment rental to seamonkey DC?

Is it normal to have some slight discomfort on one of my ear after diving? I just completed my OWD with Turtle Bay 2 days ago. What happened was, when i was trying to equalize at 5m, my instructor pulled me down slightly to keep up with her, im pretty sure this is not normal right?

I like the small profile of the d4i novo and mares smart but i have used the zoop before and i really like the clear information it gives me.

Any other recommendations and any good discounts available now ?

I going Japan next month and wondering will it be cheaper to get mask, fin and bootie there.

Planning to get Tusa Mask, Seawing Nova Fins. Any recommendation on bootie?

My instructor said newbies BCD always go for Jacket type.. easy for you to relax on surface compare to back floaters (donut /wing type). If you unconscious, you face upwards instead of facing down on water..
