Well guys, we all know who not to take seriously anyway. So lets not feed the trolls and get this show back on the road again!

Check out this torchlight sized fire extinguisher I bought for the car (secretly from fear of overheating). It can fit in the spare tyre well but afraid it'll rattle around against the metal. So now in the box in the boot.

My first impression.

Acceleration not that responsive from start but the power kicks in after past 60kmh
There are 4 speakers at the back. Two are tweeters.
*
Hmmm u didnt tekan the car? There is a short 1sec lag off the line but power comes in good very quickly when u punch it.

As for speakers. Weak point in the car. Audio is painfully missing mids and lows

Too bad for the audio quality as you explained. For me I quite enjoy the audio in the car, thinking to "enhance" the audio system when I get my car. Anyone interested to upgrade the audio system?

Btw, did you adjust the mid, low and high via the HU? I think there is settings can be set something like equalizer.
*
Yeah pigin taught me how to. But can't help but to still feel it's lacking. Somehow I feel the audio quality is even worse specifically on Android Auto as compared to Bluetooth.

Whats the observation from those with Apple phones? Any degration of audio quality?

You mean there's a difference in audio quality between AA vs HU's own bluetooth when streaming?
*
Yeah, personally I feel theres a degration in quality.

In Bluetooth you can actually make adjustments via the HU. But can't do so in AA. I'm still thinkering around to see how I can tweak it better.

Streaming through AA sounds a bit like... A cheap portable Bluetooth speaker - speakerphone sounding.

Btw, what is AA?
*
Android Auto.

This car HU comes with Android Auto and apple carplay.

The integration is very good. I can see directions and selecr music etc / control phonecalls from my dashboard

Remote Start stopped working.

My remote start function has stopped working. It was working fine the other day, but now has stopped working completely.

I googled it, and some Americans are encountering the same issue. It seems that there is a bug, when they turn on the walk away lock function - the remote start will stop working.

I didn't check if its indeed the case, too much hassle to go down to the basement and check.

I'll bring it up with SC when I do my first service. Anyone else encounter the same? Or did you also turn on the auto lock - and still can trigger the remote start?

Yeah I think the actual proper way to use it is to first press the lock button on the remote, even if your car is already locked. Then only press the remote start.

It's always the case with other makes; lock first then remote start.
*
Ahhh thanks all for the heads up. I'll try that out later.

Yup, its a redundancy system whereby the system confirms its locked so that when engine is started, no one can steal the car.
*
So I tried locking the car before remote start. It works brilliantly

Hey guys, my distance to empty is showing 500km.

Doesn't look good for consumption. What are your consumption figures?

12.1km/l based on the meter.
based on calculation by tank capacity vs remaining to empty + travelled = 10.8km/l

200km's in tongue.gif I took it and whack highway - 160kms - very stable, didn't notice i went so fast

Kept it not more than 3000 RPM

otherwise, its daily grind, slight 20km grind in the morning to the office, smooth home - due to ramadan

I also use the park brake a lot. Of which i start to notice sounds coming when i disengage from it (i.e. throttle from red)

Our Civic doesnt come with front passenger airbag off feature?
*
The car front airbag is auto off all all times - the seat has a sensor - when the seat detects above 25kgs - the front airbag is then armed.

anyone's instrument cluster (that piece of hard plastic) got very faint rattling when you turn up the aircon while driving thru roads which are not so smooth?

think can complain on first service or not? u think HM will layan??
*
Pigin, I start hearing obvious rattle on dashboard now.

left side of top dash. Driver side. When I tap it I hear very clear rattle - like a major screw/nut came loose. OK on smooth roads but damn obvious and annoying on stone pavement

anyone else notice this? I can easily reproduce this by tapping the dash - so i am going to get it fixed on first service
