I had the same concern as well...read in some other forums that nwadays the thief can even copy the signal emitted from our fob and duplicate it..they can just drive off the car without much effort..not sure how true is this..

Currently the only precaution that i am taking is to park at a safer place..not gona risk parking at any back alley..

There is a case at my condo even park inside designed own parking also got stolen.
Somehow feel useless even guard around.
That my worried.

Just came back from a day trip KL - Ipoh - KL with 4 adults in the car. First highway drive. Managed to hit 150kmph at certain stretches on the return trip. Even had the pleasure of driving in the rain for the first time. Also, took the trunk road for about 40km to avoid the heavy traffic on the NSE.

I must say im quite impressed with the handling and steering feel. If I didn't know it was a Honda, I might have thought it was a conti. Felt very confident driving the car. Although the car is relatively light (approx. 1.25 tonnes), the suspension is firm enough to prevent significant body roll at tight corners and yet soft enough to provide a very comfortable ride. Except for the noise from the tyres, there is very little other road noise penetrating the cabin. Even wind noise from the side mirrors is limited.

I also really liked the wipers. Very smooth and effective despite the large windscreen. Better than even my BMW wipers I must say.

I guess the 2 drawbacks I experienced was firstly the limitation of the 1.8S engine. Mid range acceleration ability is limited so fast overtaking was difficult. But this is easily overcome if you use Sports mode (albeit with increased fuel consumption for sure).

The 2nd drawback was the halogen lights. After being accustomed to HID headlights (Kia Optima K5) since 2012 and LED (BMW) now, I needed a bit of getting used to. Found myself turning on the high beam a lot when I was on the trunk road.

My whole trip today consumed slightly more than half tank of fuel. Didn't use the fill-measure-fill method so can't be certain of the exact consumption.

(P/S No rattling or any defects so far)

Pretty interesting Ingress Mirrorlink HDMI Dongle which plugs into the HDMI port of the car.  Sold in Thailand and works for iOS and Android for wireless mirroring to the HU.  Wonder if it's just plug and play?

Very tempted by this car. but still got 1 more year to go before can change car. Any one can comment this car with Mazda 3? I was actually considering Mazda 3 but Civic came out and it's so tempting with the overall specs given from the official brochure.

I also test drove the Mazda 3 and wast tempted to get this car. Although it is technologically a better car (slightly), there are other features that are not so ideal, the smaller seating capacity (rear) seats and rear boot capacity as compared to the Civic.

The 18" rims though looks cool, but have you checked the tire prices for 18" wheels and at low profile too?

A check with friends who have had Mazdas, main complaint is the poor resale value, high cost of parts and poor after sales service at their SCs, not to mention there is only a limited no around.

Fuel economy for a 2.0 versus a 1.8 or 1.5T is a lot

Even if they did, they wouldn't advertise it. Beats the security purpose if you told everyone of your car's security measures right?

Get a satellite or RF based security measure if you're worried. Katsana, Captor and Cobra Connex solutions to name a few. I'm more concerned on getting the car scratched or emblem stolen

No afford to install and maintenance those GPS tracking system.

A few more things I discovered from finally reading the manual..

HM removed some basic features on our local spec cars:
- Glovebox lights
- Vanity mirror (on visor) lights
- Radio RDS function
The above features were with a footnote that it's only available on some models.  The TC-P's here do not come with it.

TC-P's come with
- Auto clock time/date update from built in GPS.  Clock should not be off and should never need time/date adjustment.
