QUOTE(Alternation @ Jul 2 2016, 12:54 PM) Haha. I also just keep it 1st. 1.8 surprisingly well driven. Tot will feel sluggish as my brother told me his FB Civic felt underpower. Feel more lively than the heavier direct inject 160+ hp of 2.0 new Camry thou they both have almost equal sprinting time. But camry high rev very good pwr. Havent try on my Civic yet as will keep below 2.5k rpm before the 1st service. |

QUOTE(NewbieBetta @ Jul 3 2016, 12:49 AM) hmm, does this still apply keep the engine below 2.5k rpm?? It already kena hentam when its in factory or by salesman. Haha. No idea. I believe honda ppl got hentam lar. But no harm to just keep low rev before the first service. It was around 10km+ only when I collect the car which is very acceptable for me. 😆 |

QUOTE(asakura2020 @ Jul 4 2016, 11:55 AM) When i got this key cover, it looks very normal. Once i put it on my key, somehow it make the key looks and feels a lot nicer. By not attach any other key to it, it looks nicer and more premium. Not fancy the honda key design. Toyota got better design. Haha.Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(asakura2020 @ Jul 4 2016, 02:21 PM) For me, I like the fitting. It improved the holding feel. Rubberised texture and quite solid. Add a little bit bulkier but not too much. Just nice. I bought at Lelong for 19.90 per pc. Now somebody selling RM10 per pc only. Lots of color to choose from. And I did dropped my key on the floor once! Fortunately already got this covered. Or else, pretty sure will leave a deep scar on the key 😂 |

QUOTE(hihihehe @ Jul 7 2016, 08:32 PM) Ya. The sound is 'pin pin' type.Mine driver side after start and drive, got few click or ting sound which i saw some owner here experienced the same. When go into uneven road, the driver side dashboard got rattle sound which i guess is the same place as the click or ting sound occur during start off. Another thing is the meter clear pastic cover very scratches since i collect it. During collection thought is some finger print. Can this be complaint to honda? Outside paint also got a small patch of scratches right before C pillar. This one i still can accept. This post has been edited by avave88: Jul 7 2016, 09:06 PM |

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Jul 8 2016, 03:45 AM) Just came back from a day trip KL - Ipoh - KL with 4 adults in the car. First highway drive. Managed to hit 150kmph at certain stretches on the return trip. Even had the pleasure of driving in the rain for the first time. Also, took the trunk road for about 40km to avoid the heavy traffic on the NSE. Hi Bro Cyber, may I know what is your though/comparison/experience of the Civic 1.8 vs your previous Kia K5 overall? This is due to I am considering these two vehicle previously and made up my mind with the Civic. Very keen to know since you own/owned both. 😆I must say im quite impressed with the handling and steering feel. If I didn't know it was a Honda, I might have thought it was a conti. Felt very confident driving the car. Although the car is relatively light (approx. 1.25 tonnes), the suspension is firm enough to prevent significant body roll at tight corners and yet soft enough to provide a very comfortable ride. Except for the noise from the tyres, there is very little other road noise penetrating the cabin. Even wind noise from the side mirrors is limited. I also really liked the wipers. Very smooth and effective despite the large windscreen. Better than even my BMW wipers I must say. I guess the 2 drawbacks I experienced was firstly the limitation of the 1.8S engine. Mid range acceleration ability is limited so fast overtaking was difficult. But this is easily overcome if you use Sports mode (albeit with increased fuel consumption for sure). The 2nd drawback was the halogen lights. After being accustomed to HID headlights (Kia Optima K5) since 2012 and LED (BMW) now, I needed a bit of getting used to. Found myself turning on the high beam a lot when I was on the trunk road. My whole trip today consumed slightly more than half tank of fuel. Didn't use the fill-measure-fill method so can't be certain of the exact consumption. (P/S No rattling or any defects so far) |

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Jul 8 2016, 11:34 PM) Both very good cars. Its quite difficult to differentiate both. But both have the pros and cons. The K5 drives like a conti. Its a solid car and very good on long journeys. Plus it comes packed with features. The K5 also has a better frontal crash rating than the BMW 5 Series. That's how well built the car is. Thanks for your input. 😃I guess the Civic betters the K5 in terms of it's suspension and steering feel. Even though the car is lighter but you feel pretty confident pushing the car to higher speeds. The K5 has better cornering ability because of its large 18 inch rims. Both good cars for sure. Very difficult to choose between the both. I guess, push comes to shove the differing factor would be the price. The Civic 1.8L is about 30K cheaper. Yeap, test drove K5 and indeed its a very good car. Now driving Civic FC 1.8 and also like the car so much! Everytime i drove it, it just make me love it more. Haha! 😆 |

QUOTE(hamrog @ Jul 12 2016, 06:22 PM) ok cool! thanks for the update! thats such a huge relief! I called yesterday to make appoinment for today. But was told appoinment full for the whole week! First time using Honda's car dont know have to make appointment weeks advance. So advice u guys to book very early in advance yar. Or maybe just that specific service centre. Oh, btw I got my car serviced at MH Prestige Sri Damansara as I got my car there as well. The girl who pick up my call said if i am doing the 1st service, just some inspection only. So can try to walk in. So i did walk in and reached very early before 8am. There is already 6 ppls queuing outside the centre. They open at 8am. Their service is nice thou need to wait for quite long due to too many customer dy. My car mileage not even 700km. Need to service earlier because need to travel to penang on the same day. 😆what did they do for your first service? also, how long did you have to make an appointment? My car is now at 800kms - if i do this weekend, i wont hit 1000, but if next week, should hit 1200kms 1st service just some minor inspection only. Change nothing. Was told 2nd service at 10k km or time given 5 months which ever come 1st. They advice 5 months instead of 6 months for the 2nd service. |
