got it last night... plugged in and setup everything nicely...

and got internet connection for my connected devices but iptv for unifi not working...

already tried the manual vlan tagging and also the preset "UNIFI"... tried to attach IPTV into all 3 LAN Ports... never work... going to bring it back to shop to change to other brand...

when i first login the interface already pissed me off because i keep getting logged out and need to relogin.. first time encounter such issue... never got such issue with other brand like Asus, TP-Link, Aztech...

my advice... just skip this good looking 5 antenna monster.. bruce.gif

You need to flash it with Malaysia Firmware in order to do the VLAN settings. Global ROM does not support VLAN tagging.

well..its better than unifi (1st gen router) and DIR-850L
in terms of signal.

but sometimes it will get DC; need to reconnect manually - maybe the fault is at unifi.

i could not compare it with tplink archer c5 bcoz i never use it.

coz i saw the QnA @ 11street. but i've proceeded and tested myself, no problem for streamyx n very straight forward for the setting.

which channel did u set for wifi 2.4ghz n 5ghz ?
*
Just put it on auto will do because the channel must be set at the least overlapping channel. So it's highly recommended to put it on auto.

most of the router in market no problem with streamyx, only problem for unifi. So most of the modem should work well with streamyx.

my channels are 11 and 160. channel normally is based on your area, should set to other channel to avoid channel interference for best signal.

How's the stability/performance of this router? Im interested to buy but have only 1 concern, will it get disconnected from time to time randomly?

Just got upgraded to unifi 50mbps recently plus this router is really affordable.

fyi, total of 5 device connected to router with 2 using lan cable.

Appreciate the info.

but sometimes it will get DC; need to reconnect manually - maybe the fault is at unifi.

i could not compare it with tplink archer c5 bcoz i never use it.

I got it running and hooked with UniFi. However I set up the wifi router under AP mode. Means the existing wifi router will still have to be running, but I have disabled the wifi for the old router

I couldn't set it up normally and hook with IPTV as the firmware update failed. So it's now running the stock chinese firmware

I'm using it, just got it yesterday. Still early but so far it's OK and pretty stable. 2.4G signal is pretty strong, 5G signal is stronger than my previous MiWifi router.

Firmware is kinda barebone, but everything is there for a normal user.

Thinking of upgrading to Asus-Merlin firmware but since the stock Unifi firmware is not available, I'm holding into it.

Edit: Just got the stock Unifi from Tenda MY support. I'm going in!

I can only compare to my previous router, Mi Mini with Padavan. I have 4 devices that's always connected to the router, 3 on 2.4GHz and 1 on 5Ghz.

Performance is pretty good. So far, it has been stable for almost 2 weeks and during this time, the uplink is still using the same IP address (meaning, no disconnection at all).

2.4GHz strength is about the same as the Mi Mini, but I can see that it's more stable with no sudden signal dips. 5GHz signal is definitely better than the Mi Mini.

CPU temperature hovers around 68C - 72C and based on what I've read, this is considered normal.

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied for a RM290 router. It's basically an AC68U in disguise. Also, Tenda warranty service is pretty OK too.

Let me know if you want to know anything else.

Yes, pretty much can get full throughput anywhere in my 1000 sqft condo. Granted, I'm using the 30Mbps plan.

Tenda Msia is using the commonly available with VLAN enabled firmware. The problem I currently face is that when I upload the firmware and attempt to flash it, error would pop saying that the file size is too big, and it will just restart

Comparing the Tenda Ac6 vs the default Unifi Router Dlink Dir615. Does it match or better in terms of coverage ? Shops were saying in general the coverage is bad, but if its similar or better then the Dir615, then is good enough for me

Anyone able to solve firmware size too large when trying to update the malaysia custom firmware from china firmware?

I also noticed that the ports are all 100 mbps, so i guess the speed is capped at 100 mbps max for any internet link.

Any help?

Did you all manage to resolve the firmware issue with Tenda routers? I just received my Tenda AC11 router from Lazada and am experiencing the same "No response from remote server...." Do you know where to get help or shall I just return the router?

Vlan tagging might be culprit

No VLAN tagging support, so that is the reason why it can't connect. You will have to use a smart switch. See here for a guide on how to do it: https://www.blacktubi.com/guide/make-any-ro...-work-on-unifi/

Try finding if there is any VLAN tagging support first. If no, refer to method above.

Hey everyone, maybe you can help, I have 20Mbps connection up and down, but when I use the tenda fh1202 router, my upload speed is just at 0.60 - 1Mbps. My download speed is fine. I upgraded to the latest firmware on tendacn.com website, I did a reset on the router, did a factory reset as well via the admin interface but still not getting my real upload speed.

When I use my old router, I get 20Mbps up and down. Any ideas??

Probably the router issues. I suggest sending back for warranty.
