Anyone using ac18?
*
I'm using it, just got it yesterday. Still early but so far it's OK and pretty stable. 2.4G signal is pretty strong, 5G signal is stronger than my previous MiWifi router.

Firmware is kinda barebone, but everything is there for a normal user.

Thinking of upgrading to Asus-Merlin firmware but since the stock Unifi firmware is not available, I'm holding into it.

Edit: Just got the stock Unifi from Tenda MY support. I'm going in!

Hows the performance on Asus Merlin firmware?Thinking to buy AC18 for future UniFi turbo upgrade.
*
I can only compare to my previous router, Mi Mini with Padavan. I have 4 devices that's always connected to the router, 3 on 2.4GHz and 1 on 5Ghz.

Performance is pretty good. So far, it has been stable for almost 2 weeks and during this time, the uplink is still using the same IP address (meaning, no disconnection at all).

2.4GHz strength is about the same as the Mi Mini, but I can see that it's more stable with no sudden signal dips. 5GHz signal is definitely better than the Mi Mini.

CPU temperature hovers around 68C - 72C and based on what I've read, this is considered normal.

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied for a RM290 router. It's basically an AC68U in disguise. Also, Tenda warranty service is pretty OK too.

Let me know if you want to know anything else.

Yes, pretty much can get full throughput anywhere in my 1000 sqft condo. Granted, I'm using the 30Mbps plan.
