It is better to wait for In-Princple Approval letter (IPA) from MOM and also you need to undergo medical check-up. |

Guys,
Need to consult you all this. My wife got a job here in SG. Employment Pass approved and medical checkup done. Basically, she is waiting for first day to start work. However, this morning her present company decided to retain her by moving her to SG branch if she is willing to accept. Concern is, she can stay but not sure on the MOM side. Any issue if employment pass approved but decided to withdraw and new company applies again? Any conflict of interest here? Please advise. |

QUOTE(knwong @ Aug 29 2016, 09:38 AM) Unique case. Unless someone is working in MOM reply you here Yea. that's my concern also. I told her to check with MOM like email or call them first. There's a risk the company try to apply, but not getting approved. Then can't come to S'pore in the end Other than that just work first. Do not burn bridges who know's in the future still have chance to go back to them. Btw, thanks Abang Wong for replying. |

My housemate was in the midst of taking SG license and just completed the theory part. QUOTE(huaweie5830 @ Sep 21 2016, 01:55 PM) ohoh tats y u got blacklisted okok now i understand how to check license status , i may check mine too QUOTE(weilikler @ Sep 21 2016, 02:16 PM) Getting the extract record from JPJ wont make your MY license blacklisted. The extract serves as a proof that your MY license is not suspended or blacklisted. On the record it will shown when you obtained your license and when it will expired. On a side note, while extracting from JPJ i managed to renew my license one year in advance because i was afraid like what you all said blacklist MY license. |

QUOTE(weilikler @ Sep 23 2016, 09:35 PM) hmm... may I ask when did u extract the letter? did you get "help" from people? My friend used a runner but i did not.for me, yes, the letter serves as proof that, from the start of obtaining my license in Malaysia, I have not done any serious offense, and is not blacklisted, so that SG can convert my license. i think it is stated somewhere, when u extract the letter from JPJ, u fill in a form, in the form if you tick "for license conversion", once u get the letter your license status will be updated to blacklisted. I went to JPJ myself last week. First day i reached there at 10:30am got sent off because que number finished then i went there again next day for the second time at 815am...Wait for my turn, once ensured they do not blacklist my license i renew my license straight away and got the extract at the same time. Right now my MY license will expired 6 years later on 2022. I have already submitted my docs to BBDC currently waiting for the actual SG license to be delivered to me. At JPJ, I just filled in a form to request for "butir-butir rekod ......" not anything that tick "for license conversion". On a side note, you are 100% right when JPJ knows you are converting license they will blacklist your MY license. There will be another letter stating "pembatalan......" something due to conversion to "Singapura" license. QUOTE(huaweie5830 @ Sep 23 2016, 09:40 PM) Actually I checked my license status on jpj , didn't mention blacklisted , also still got the expiry date there also.... LOL don't knw still can go renew anot next time later got 2 license.... even thou now oso got 2 license Abang, Why worry cannot renew license if JPJ didnt blacklist your MY license. JPJ will issue a letter, black & white and not just verbally if they were to suspend or blacklist our license. |

QUOTE(weilikler @ Sep 23 2016, 11:50 PM) ahh... that's why. maybe you are lucky, I'm not sure. cos when i said i wanna request for the letter, the person asked me what is it for? then yeah, i told him license conversion, and the form he gave me had a checkbox for license conversion also. the key point here is do not let them know CONVERTING TO SG license. so when u requested for the letter, they did not ask u why? what for? now i'm just worried some policeman will find trouble during roadblock. They gave me a form to fill in order to get the extract. That form did not have a checkbox for license conversion. I did not tell them what reason and the lady did not ask me fortunately. At the end of the day, extract is what we need. Get it and leave faster. My friend's license got blacklisted when he told them for Singapore license conversion. When they blacklist license they will issue a letter not just verbal warning. On that letter it is stated clearly that we choose to blacklist the license on our own action for Singapura license conversion. If roadblock no worry because i dont think they have rules saying Msian with SG license cannot drive in Msia. All these muthapuakas in Bolehland you have to deal with them with some intellectual. Unlike here in SG, my passport size photos in red background got rejected. Everything follow requirement. |

QUOTE(deodorant @ Sep 25 2016, 12:51 AM) It would be interesting to also share which JPJ office you went to. From friends sharing, etc, anecdotally it seems that if you ask for the extract in JB JPJ then 99.9% they will batal your Malaysia license cos they know you are only asking for the extract to convert to SG license. Ha...Yes. Do not let those muthapuakas know that we are converting to SG.For me I requested mine in KL. Asked for extract cos "mahu memandu di luar negara" (lol) and they never cancel. So for the last 4 years I've had SG and MY licenses. Having said that ... keep both license also dunno for what. Since SG license allows you to drive in MY anyway. We are almost the same. They not only provide the extract also renewed my license in advance till 2022. I got the extract myself at JPJ KL. And you got it right. |

QUOTE(poor_engineer @ Oct 13 2016, 06:29 PM) After 5 years in Singapore, I really feel hard to switch back to Malaysia. Forget about career and currency, the internet speed in Malaysia is my next concern. Also cannot accept the government agencies always behave like a big boss. Even the private bank (not talking about premier banking here as I'm just ordinary customer, always long queue and lack of efficiency. I spent few hours waiting to get my ATM card changed to new version on last Monday (yes... limited/no weekend banking in Msia). In Singapore the card would have been mailed to me and I just need to activate by SMS. And you pissed off when reading how injustice happens in Msia. Just look at our police no difference from licensed gangster. Abang Engineer,Seriously the only good about Msia is food and also convenience to stay closer to family. But those reasons really hard for me to justify not leaving this shitty country for better career and safer environment. p/s: I still holding mycard for the coming election and also probably not converting citizenship now due to my parents might be upset thinking their son is leaving them behind. My parents already accepted the bad system and unwilling to leave this country. What field or industry are you in? Any kangtau? |

QUOTE(JohnJon82 @ Nov 5 2016, 09:26 AM) I think mainly its the GPA of the first degree. Then how many years of working experience will add in some point. And your boss supporting letter. Meaning to say low GPA lesser chance to get admission? Difficulty depends on the peers applying that year. A lot of Malaysians in my class last time. E&E I heard its majority Indians. Good luck. |
