TOS, what happen? If you don't mind sharing?
*
Thanks for your concern. I have received PMs from nexona88 and solstice818 as well. So, let me address everything in one place, here.

7 of my IBKR posts, mainly concerning with semiconductor profit analysis and a bunch of industry news, were reported on the morning of 3rd of Dec.

By around 12.30pm noon (3rd of Dec), Lowyat Helpdesk slapped a permanent ban on my old TOS account, without any prior warnings.

i.imgur.com/WUY0bUk.jpeg

I could still login to my old account and received notifications on posts quoting me and PMs from some of you concerning my banned status, but all buttons are frozen and no matter which button I click, the page will just refresh and you arrive at the same page as shown in the screenshot above. So, I couldn't reply to any of your posts or PMs.

As you can see in the screenshot, Helpdesk claimed that the account was compromised and suspected the 7 posts were spams.

I emailed Helpdesk to file for an appeal the same day, arguing that business news were released on a rolling basis, not a bunch of news coming out in one lump sum. I understand LYN forum mods, admins and staffs are busy in real life, so I waited patiently, but two weeks later, I have yet to hear back from HelpDesk.

In the mean time, I checked back here daily and saw all of your concerns. There are people bouncing PMs along just to get my number... and MasBoleh! wrote an appeal PM on behalf of me to HelpDesk (no response received either). All of your kind efforts are very touching I have to say wub.gif laugh.gif

So, two days ago I decided to register for a new account using invite code from Medufsaid and start over afresh.

I have yet to find out who reported 7 of my IBKR posts in a row, he's quite likely not a seasonal LYN member or some member who hardly visit the IBKR thread and surprised to find that the thread was full of my posts. That member is definitely still around here and I am yet to find out who he is. If my new account (this TOS2 account) is banned again, feel free to contact (via PM or any other means the recipient(s) and you both feel comfortable with):

Medufsaid

I have met with some of them in real life and they have my contact details on LinkedIn, WhatsApp and/or Telegram. I am more active on WhatsApp though not everyone likes that for privacy reasons, which is fine and understandable.

I don't quite understand the staff hierarchy here, but perhaps cherroy, MilesAndMore] or lucifah can shed some light on what is going on with HelpDesk etc. It would be nice to know some news from "upstairs" as I am in the dark as well. Thanks.

i notice you post link as text without https://

are you implying mod ban you for posting links?
*
Yes as Medufsaid mentioned, I am now in probation mode, can't post URL links directly. You will have to copy and paste the link into a new tab on your browser and open the link to read the news article from there.

I have to remove the https:// manually, which is a hassle but this will only last for a couple of days (till I reach 50 posts), assuming I won't get banned again.

My apologies for the inconvenience caused.
