Don't say so fast...the big bears are lurking around the corner.  The FAANG boys are issuing
early earnings warning this quarter. Once the HFT machines take over... there could be more than 1000 pts drop.  sweat.gif

Well, at least short term, I need the market to hold up here (SPY 305-310) till Friday (expiration), it will be perfect.  biggrin.gif
*
but but.. i wanna be assigned for my SPY, MMM, NUE & AOS contracts XD

Can start shopping already for long term hold stocks.

I going like this: 10%~15%, 25%~30%, 50%~75% discounts

If more than 75%, the world is probably of verge of collapsing.
Forget trading, stock up on food, water, ammo and go into bunker.  tongue.gif
*
Already have food, water and weapons.. need more $ to build bunker tongue.gif
that's why i'm investing hehehe

seriously though, my own targets for developed markets are -16% 1st peck, -26% second peck, 36% third peck (EPF $ out). -46% last peck which usually wont happen unless another 1930s or 2008s.

emerging markets? add 10% to each peck since kaka happens often in banana republics with KleptoCronies Govs XD

End up ada shopping some yesterday? tongue.gif
*
yup - this week's fear, sold PUTs on SPY, NUE, MMM, AOS & XOM
still hunting for 1 more - NOBLE, to use up my $ for Options.
note - goal is to take premium $ AND be assigned the stocks.

if it goes to deep hell (26%+/-), will start "direct/traditional buying" of stocks.

so is it time to enter or too early?

no one knows the bottom for sure
thus, IMHO, best is self knowledge -
a. worth it to me to add/buy extra how much now?
THEN
b. later IF goes even MEGA sale, worth it to buy even more thus i've to hold off some $
BUT
c. IF it doesnt go to MEGA sale, ok / enough ar my (a.) executed?

so what's your yearly return on gold now?
*
the sold 50% of held, on 9th Mar?
ranges from 4.22%pa to 5.48%pa only, depending on the date bought.
sold off the "costliest" 50% to have my held's average cost down - thus, next buy trigger is lower. Ya, i dont do charts & stuff for trigger - more of internal cost/value to trigger tongue.gif

triggered to sell based on total average paper profit pa% - note, i treat gold as another type of "money" thus the pa% basis was getting "out of whack" for "money".
the lower 50% cost portion (still holding now) was ranging about 7%pa to 11%pa on 9th Mar., depending on the transaction's purchase date.

Well, initially market may go down if Trump loses because of uncertainty.
I think you maybe right... eventually the market will know how do deal with the uncertainty and rises if Biden wins and show
he's not making any drastic change.

There's going to be a ups and downs and choppy water ahead.

Now right.. we're still away above March low.

I actually don't mind if we can revisit the lows again but need kinda wish it would gradually walk down the stairs
instead of jumping out the window scenario.  biggrin.gif
*
i prefer the window strategy blush.gif

Will be added advantage if you're from accounting and finance background. I m doing all these for last 15 years ago. Reading financial ratios, earning reports, comparing same segment / business sectors .. Etc.
Perhaps you Should focus, further study and continue hard work on work, professional certification or chartered accountant by professional.
Investing will be extra hobby after dinner and hardwork will provide reward in career.

But I stopped, now I spent and enjoyed my hobbies most of my free time . I buy or sell based on emotional, fear and greedy gauge.. Vix index.

I don't trade often..
I funded my account few years ago, and lost some money with options trading.
I just buy options, and not selling options...and usually buy options lost money...  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif

Btw, regarding the "unable to login" to TDA, I found that using VPN will be able to login. Seems it is due to UNIFI problem.
I use "ProtonVPN" connect to USA server (it is free), then I can use ThinkOrSwim as usual.
*
i'm using Unifi and using TOS desktop application on Windows 10 PC - no issues ar.
yeah - selling options too XD
