I thought it was something wrong with my router as I just updated to the latest firmware. Went through the hassle of downgrading and reconfigured everything back. End up with the same problem.

On the side note, anyone knows how to change PPOE password? Mine is too weird 😂
*
It is a system generated password, therefore it looks weird.

Thanks for your help. Probably I should get tm to come by. But it's most probably weekday which is a little inconvenient
*
If you dont want to buy an Asus router, you can ask TM to replace you with one TP-Link Archer C5, it is way more better than any Asus router with the price below RM300. Also, the light indicator shows up is DSL not WAN. If you dont beleive me, I can proof that to you.

- Your silver modem is connected to phone port.
- You stay in Condo/Apartment/any other high rise buildings.

Why?

The AUTH light is never on since day one I had Unifi two years ago.

Everything works perfectly fine.
*
What? Seriously? Isnt it should be on?

hi guys, TM has identified my cat5 telephone line got problem.. request me to change if wanted to install Unifi successfully..

Called a contractor, he offer to charge me RM180-200 from my house to telephone riser room. I did not go above ceiling, just plainly stick at corner of wall. Est. length is around 20-23 meters.

Is this the standard market price?
*
Cat 5 telephone line? Did you type it wrongly?

Cat 5 is LAN cable (RJ45), used for internet only.
Telephone Line is RJ11, used for internet and telephone.

I live in condo, TM wont responsible for installing any cable..
All cabling installation goes to management side..
I am not sure.. It has a adapter in my house, that used to connect the modem.
I asked the TM contractor what its called.. He said is telephone line or CAT 5.
This cable goes to Telephone Room (Riser). It was connected to MDF Room
*
Just let TM do it. Never trust those outside installer. I used to let them do that and then until one day TM tells me that the port is unusable for internet. And I was like WTF, I already paid the installer money and I need to pay TM again because it is not usable?

The problem was TM don't want to do it. They insist to ask my management to do  bangwall.gif
If they are the one doing it, the installation will be complete much more quicker.. Bloody servie wow  bruce.gif

Then you do it yourself. Or ask this for help.

Hi Guys, any opinion on this? My current router is the white orange color dual antenna one from D-Link
*
You have to pay for the Archer C5 because your router doesnt has warranty anymore.

Not to say serious problem, its the unstable ping that cause some delay during online gaming even no one's sharing the WiFi with me with full bar signal, using LAN cable is too far also...

And I notice everytime I have to give it a good restart to have stable ping as well
*
How far?

Like 3 meters away from the modem if straight line ignoring the walls.

There will be total 3 pieces of wall in between
*
Well, I suggest you to get powerline adapter if you want to gain full speed.
