Then what will happen to current laptop prices? Will they drop becoz of new "technology" coming out?

Uncertain cheaper, so far manufacturer/ distributor will sell expensive on new model to protect the old model remaining stocks, and will reveal step by step new models, until clear up all old models

look at china MSI launch.. the price is not friendly

ok, sounds like the new model wont be cheap..
and possibly the longer the wait, the old model could be cheaper eventually. (but not cheaper when new model released)

buffer time 2 months for the older month to reduce price.
