Looking to buy a new laptop but unsure where to start. My previous laptop burnt out because it got too hot and since then moved to desktops. I will use the laptop mainly for browsing internet, movies, maybe some rare occasional game (rpgs). Budget about RM2k-3k (not sure if this is enough?). Thinking 13" but friend advised value ratio of 15" is better.

Was looking at the Xiaomi laptop 13" but not sure if its worth the hassle to ship one over (warranty issues, Chinese characters, potential problems with new product, etc). Just wondering, what is the estimated price of a similar spec laptop here in Malaysia? If its way more exp here then might just get it from China.

Opened to other suggestions as well. If possible - i5, 8gb ram, ssd. Not really fussy on other details.

Price range:rm4k to rm5k(max)
Mainly for my work, as a engineering student, not into gaming
Possibly light and thin but not so thin that you have to sacrifice alot of things
Screen aroung 13 to 15.6 inch is nice, fhd is sufficient
If possible, the screen can rotate 360 and touchscreen

I have looked into some of the notebooks, and one of the notebooks that really caught my attention is Samsung notebook 7 spin, 12gb ram.

But the things is this product probably may not coming to malaysia as samsung malaysia had ditched the notebook product.

Hi all, I'm looking for a laptop that is:
1. Lightweight
2. Small (13inch and smaller, the smaller the better)
3. Budget at RM2500+- depending on how good the product offers.
4. Powerful enough for work without lag (multiple tabs on browser, one or two Microsoft office programs opened at once).
5. Doesn't get hot easily, especially light gaming or YouTube.
6. Touchscreen and if possible, tablet mode.

Bonus if can play games like dota 2 or csgo smoothly, no need for high graphics.

I'm going to need it for traveling and bringing it around daily.

So far I've been recommended the HP Pavilion x360 13-u038tu.
