Too soon to say, but nevertheless the latest list from Motorola USA on what Moto phones will received Android O has prompted me to consider if I should get Moto Z2 Play by year end. This phone appeals to me more than the standard Moto Z.

Currently, I'm using a Moto X Style, which recently got upgraded to Android 7.0. Another community of Moto users on Google+ sounded a pessismistic view that 7.0. may well be the last software upgrade for all phones that debuted in 2015.

I found that my Moto Z Play now supports QC 3.0 charging (Choetech QC 3.0 Charger). Before 7.1.1 update, it was not working.

I googled and found this:

What's the latest Android version on Moto Z? I'm currently having Nougat 7.0 with April security version. I thought there was already 7.1.1?

Same as mine. So I downloaded the Ota zip and do adb sideload. After installed, Aug and Sep patch will automatically show up asking you to update.

Seems pariah.. When I first got the phone, lots of updates. And it seems like small incremental updates. I think 4 or 5 times after update to Nougat 7.0. But now still no 7.1.1

Yes. Latest September released of 7.1.1 actually fixed it. thumbup.gif

Enable Broadband Data manually in SIM 1.
