Just went to have a look. Z is amazingly thin!

Love the gesture as usual, however saw one gesture is pick up phone to stop ringing? Wonder if motorola has smart call handling, i.e., directly place the phone to the ear to automatically answer call?

Just lurking around other thread, Almost all major flagship high end device got signal issue , LTE drop and connection not stable.
I think is due to incomplete carrier LTE band coverage . Global version of Moto Z is the champion of this.Complete world LTE Band and tripple carrier aggregation.

Do we need to register the phone warranty or what? Just got my White Moto Z Play. Come with a style cover too haha. Though the leather style cover I've ordered will arrive late coz no stock lol.

As long as you have the receipt, the warranty should be honored. I got tired of bringing my phones to service centers and being asked "do you bring the receipt". Whats the point of me registering the phone warranty online if you're gonna keep asking for the reciept?!!

The phone is quite good to me. Operation wise it's quite smooth and battery life is great. Calls sound good and the fingerprint reader is fast and responsive. Didn't really test out the camera though as I bought this phone mainly for work.


Leather style cover I ordered from Gemfive, RM79. Though it's out of stock at the moment. Not sure which physical stores stock it at the moment.

Just cover your index finger at top of speaker grill when you have two or less signal bar indicator, 2 second later you will notice the full bar signal. The technical term Moto did is Motorola measure the standing wave ratio/signal reflection in addition to capacitive sensing on the relevant antenna pieces thus pre-emptively change the tuning .

This Moto Z is king of the crop.
For the first time I didn't think and need to root this phone.
Normally I root the phone from first unboxing day to unleash potential of android. This Moto z just flies with pristine android.
I don't need to root for blocking ads, just install block this! VPN and let magic done it self. It block ads during browsing web page, pop up an In apps ads .
So smooth and easy.
The biggest culprit drain CPU energy is Ads, When user starts blocking ads and popup you will run at optimum CPU usage and much less heat CPU.

Import costs and weak ringgit I assume. Apple airpods $160 becomes Rm850 here.

Visited Sunway Pyramid Lenovo outlet to have a look at the Moto Z and was very impressed. Interestingly, I was informed that the Moto Z Force will be introduced in Malaysia within the next 2 months!

Just like to share this cool Motorola Circle Clock widget for your Moto Z Play phone. The Moto Z Play's clock widget is very plain. The widget from Moto Z or Droid looks better.

Below is the link for the widget file. The usual caveat applies...do it at your risk since it is not from Google Playstore. You have to allow installation from unknown source in your security settings. However you can disable it again after installing this widget. This link explains how to do it...enjoy!
