This Final Fantasy came just before PS3 was launched. truly a masterpiece, very minimal in the lovey dovey content. very strong in this political essence. and very cultured. i love the gambit system and if you play your cards right, even the final boss is a pushover. the last Final Fantasy that feels like a final fantasy game. they should have remastered this before FF13.

Looking forward for this.
The vanilla version is a huge flaw on the lic board. Everyone is the same as everyone by end game because unlocks of all every lic possible  And gambit wasn't useful until get to unlock required gambit The international zodiac fixed these two issue by limiting boards to 12 jobs and unlock gambit full from start. One of the best Ivalice world translation aside from FF tactics. |

This generation is kind of dissapointing, remaster is everywhere, don't get me wrong, but it seems like game developers are running out of idea and trying to squeeze money by remastering the old legendary title instead of creating new 'legendary'

never played FF12 before, remastered titles as such is a good thing for me or rather, people like me. so win for us i guess. for an example, if TLOU was never remastered, i would not have the chance to play given that i do not have a ps3 now.

I don't get the limited ed background music dlc. Is it we get to play the ost in the title screen menu? then the digital ver 4 track music are downloaded as mp3?
I will get ps4 to play this game coz my ps2 broke before i get to finish it. Now its the chance for me to finish my ff12 journey XD. Don't know whether I should preorder now or wait until it released. Normally the preorder bonus will be included when the game is released right? |

There's a few pros and cons between vanilla and zodiac version of the game. Biggest con is they remove the damage limit in the zodiac version. In some way bosses are easy. There's also an op range weapon with attack power of 250. Good thing is the trial mode. FFXII have one of the hardest boss fight in all of the series. It's. The final trial stage which is the 5 judges. (reverse gambit strategy will not work). Even tho I have play a patch version of FFXII zodiac age, I'll still buy this just for the HD remastered. Good game to play.

Well, the speed Turbo sounds useful.
Most of us don't have that much time to play rpg vs 10 years ago. I hope they cut the general loading time by more than 50% as well. Or even more with the pro. Even then. I'll probably get it next year when they slash the price. Haha. |

still remember last time, few days playing the games, read some faqs, realised that I opened some chest that I'm not supposed to open, hence missing out one of the most powerful weapon in the game
rage quit till now So i heard they "fixed" this time, but still kinda pricey for me, gotta wait till there's a heavy discount for it |

Played the game for quite a while tonight
A very solid remaster so far , things still look very fresh even compare to the original FF12 running on emulators . The lightings look dramatically different(and better imho) beside the obvious texture upgrades . Doesn't look like it does much for the PS4 pro though , FPS too is locked at 30 but very stable so far. Love the new job system , one of my dislikes of the original game was everyone end up to be identical in skill builds towards the endgame . Now you can choose 2 unique jobs where you have way more to plan and give each character a unique purpose . The trial mode from FF12 International make it in the game as well , so one more reason to play it if you haven't played the FF12IZJS ver. And remember those annoying condition to fulfill before you can summon the Espers , they are now fully controllable  Must-buy imo if you were a fan of the ff12. Played the game yesterday night for an hour. The details are indeed much better than the PS2 version. The atmosphere is quite enjoyable. And I still enjoy the story even though I finished it during the PS2 era.
Haven't tried the Trial mode yet, but watch the review and it was given well review. For a game that cost RM200, I'm willing to get it for the new orchestra music, trial mode, and most of all, new job implement!!! |

Anyone can suggest me which job should I choose for Vaan? Last night was just released Chinese version. I was struggled for few minutes to think which job should I choose. However, I have no idea about this. So in the end I was chose Knight. Prima games did recommend Vaan to choose knight too but the problem is if I chose Knight, then how about Basch? Many people said that Acher job is weak and useless. So tonight I will back home to replay this game again, then I will consider to choose Bushi for Vaan. So can let Ashe choose either Monk or Time Battlemage. Then let Basch to bacome a Knight.

Wow you guys sure are fast... I'm still having my own sweet time in the very beginning where penelope join the group to look for sunstone. I'm a kind of person who wants 100% complete. ( Getting all key treasures ) But problem for me now is, I always scout the entire map first before proceeding to another map, though I know those treasure will respawn anyway.
There is a walkthrough guideline in youtube that is quite useful. Not applying any licenses until specified time to become master save. So later if I suddenly want to play other licenses, I do not need to replay it all over again. |

Thief's Cuffs: Enables the theft of superior and rare items. OR Diamond Armlet: Search the deepest recesses of chests, coffers, and the like. This item has immune: Lightning. |

im having trouble with gambits.. dont really know the best action for the classes.. now im just shuffling around the gambits, easily draining my phoenix down
vaan - shikari balthier - white mage fran - machinist basch - knight ashe - red battlemage been googling around to find 'gambit-templates' to copy, but no luck. |

Any problem with my job combination? I was assigned two white mages in my party. So in future I can separate two groups and exchange two healers to support the team. The only job that I did not assign is Ulhan.

Bushi lets Shikari wear Black Robe and get a big boost of Yagyu Darkblade's damage, which is the Bane of Yiazmat ( The weak-to-darkness boss with infamous 50 millions Health to chew down ) Although the strongest Ninja weapon in this version of FF12 is Mesa , a non elemental Ninja blades that has a whooping 35% combo rate As for the rest of the game, he is not as strong as Shikari / Breaker but it works. Monk / Black is amazing Machinist / Red Mage can work , but Archer / Red Mage is better , especially if you plan to make them cast some spells. Knight / Archer is fine too , they get a range weapon plus 3 x swiftness but if you want them to heal the combo with time mage or bushi is better White Mage / Time mage is not a very optimal combo , because White Mage learns the highest tier of Time Spells like Hastega too from Machinist , which is a much more versatile combo White Mage / Breaker = ??? Congratulations! I've just spent a load of GILs to buy the entire list of gambits in Yamoora's Gambits at Rabanastre.
I'm officially broke and now I'm left with 174,065G. Characters level is around Level 55 at the moment. |

Since I don't like my party jobs especially is Ashe, her HP is too low as White Mage/Time Battlemage. So was edit the party again and assign Ashe as Time battlemage/Bushi.

So was edit the party again and assign Ashe as Time battlemage/Bushi. How on earth you get to Level 87 and the sum of 99,913,912 Gils with only 39 hours++ played (270,080 steps)?

Currently, have 2 Ribbons and looking for another one. Anyway, the longer I'm in the game, the longer I feel some of the classes are utter rubbish.

Tested to go one long shot in trial mode and the highest I could get is until Level 72. Illnesses are crazily inflicted even with four characters equipped with Ribbon. I didn't do much on the Gambits. Could that be a reason or the chosen job classes are all wrong?

For alternative , have your red mage and other Magician base character spamming Scathe and Ardor w/burning bow is a good way to clear the bats as well You sound like you are trying to brute force the game thru high levels, levels are not very meaningful in the late game. Vaan Weapon: Excalibur Off-hand: - Helm: Crown of Laurels Armour: Maximillian Accessory: Ring of Renewal Balthier Weapon: Golden Axe Off-hand: Gendarme Helm: Golden Skullcap Armour: Maximillian Accessory: Thief's Cuffs (substitute with Ribbon) Fran Weapon: Tula Off-hand: Grand Bolts Helm: Crown of Laurels Armour: Maximillian Accessory: Ribbon Basch Weapon: Sagittrius Off-hand: Artemis Arrows Helm: Crown of Laurels Armour: Brave Suit Accessory: Ribbon Ashe Weapon: Karkata (substitute with Vrsabha, with no Gendarme equipped) Off-hand: Gendarme Helm: Golden Skullcap Armour: Maximillian Accessory: Ribbon Penelo Weapon: Wyrmhero Blade Off-hand: - Helm: Golden Skullcap Armour: Glimmering Robes Accessory: Sage's Ring (maybe I should just give to Balthier instead? I could equip her with Ribbon) Nothing much but hope to get a better bow and armour, perhaps? Any comments? Say, does anyone know whether the R2 version of the game has the Japanese VO for it? I assume it's identical for all versions but I've heard the R2 version is fully dubbed in English without the option of changing it to Japanese unlike the R1 and R3 versions. Doesn't make sense IMO but a little confirmation will help a lot.

Ok cleared Yiazmat both in trial mode and normal play, although in trial mode he doesn't have 50 Million hp. Trial # 100 is totally insane!

I wanna ask 1 question...any of guys bought Final Fantasy X/ X2 and how hard is it to get to platinum rank in that game? Since i already finished with FF XII i reckon i give FF X a shot.

The biggest obstacle would be your ultimate weapons. That includes riding on chocobo till your ass drops by gravitational pull or bumpy ride. And also your hair loss due to lightning strike. |

Dodging those damn lightning strikes are still OK. But the chocobo race...a nightmare. A F**KING NIGHTMARE! |

The chocobo race there are a few versions of it where the balloon placements varies, I normally aim for one that I have the most confidence that I can get all balloons at the first run right before entering the Calm Lands as well as overtaking the AI (all in the first run from the get go). As for Blitz Ball, yeah....once you get decent players and a good hang of it, it is actually easy |
