I think Affin will run out very fast.....

That will affect my next Monday's plan. Got to get a backup plan if Affin's quota is up ! 

Eager to see what the July FD promo will be. This Friday can start to have an idea about it. But not expecting higher than June promo's like 4.25/4.3%, discounting Affin's 4.5%.

Nothing to surprise about. Been taking out maturing FDs and monthly interests from BR and sweep to Affin Bank. Keep asking for any special extra nego rate to be competitive with Affin 4.5%. No deal, so cabut. After all, banks treat money like commodity for trading (sound Islamic huh  ) and subject to supply and demand and perceptions of customers.  It is up to individual bank cashflow projections. The 4.38% with the advantage of monthly interest payment is what they feel they can do to fight funds flight.   4.4% would be nicer but maybe sound too unlucky? OPR is not really in the picture

why so particular on when to place fd? when have to money, then avoid to put on certain day? then lose interest. fast fast put in. then mature time get interest. should be alright.

crack the head to think today can put or not while you have the $$, waste of time and interest. if no money no headache lo.

important point is when $$ available. not say avoid this date, this day. 

rm589.04 based on 365 day is based on 5mil fd. how many will have this issue?

I went to Affin bank yesterday for the 4.5% fd deal. According to the bank officer, still have limited quota but may not last till Aug 31st.

Managed to open 4.5%/p.a. FD promo in Affin which was not available 2 weeks ago.  Took more than 1 hour coz a lot of people. somemore initial slip wrongly printed 3.7% board rate only.  The bank staff said previously only open to selected customer but now open to all until quota filled up.
too bad the maturity date falls on a Saturday 1-July-17 and accordingly I will lose 2 days interest as can only withdraw on 3-July-17.

special meaning there is a min amount requirement?

can anyone tell me if affin allows us to set maturity instruction for fd? i prefer a fd that can withdraw directly into saving account upon maturity without paying a visit to the bank.

I think someone mentioned that they opened up to all branches. Just like I posted just minutes ago, the Penang Bayan Baru branch now has it. Before that they are not having that promo, have called them before. So is Affin open up all branches ? Trying to get the quota met earlier and close this offer ?

Wow, if this is true, it will be good news.. Coz I just called to affin raja Chulan on Thursday, but the staff said only applicable to selected branch.. When they chnsge do to all branch?

My mum just placed at Affin Bank Georgetown near Fort Cornwallis, 4.5%. Went there after check at Fettes Park not available (not sure finish quota or don't have this promo).
