QUOTE(johnconnor @ Jul 10 2016, 09:16 AM) Hey guys, for postpaid plans we get an additional 3GB of data for video streaming right? Has anyone figured out a way for us to "alter" the quota for normal web browsing/download? Like a VPN connection or something? I don't even need any tools, all my download from google play store are considered streaming video.

QUOTE(GamaX320 @ Jul 12 2016, 08:22 PM) Recently what happened to U Mobile last time I can get around 20mbps in LTE area and now only can get 1~2mbps in LTE area T.T That means you are extremely unlucky for living in area with network congestion. I constantly obtain more than 12mbps over speedtest.

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Jul 13 2016, 10:27 PM) As a staff in UTAR I can testify that the number of students means U connection is bad, unless you go above 2nd/3rd floor. 4G is better than 3G, but still much slower than my residence in Subang Jaya. For certain reason, I notice that no stable 4G connection in KB303 This post has been edited by zher4883: Jul 13 2016, 10:44 PM

QUOTE(jammerlee711 @ Jul 19 2016, 07:02 PM) any kawan here experience bad reception (internet data can't connect) within building with UMOBILE ? i just ported from celcom yesterday. it was all fine with celcom. i'm not sure why r there such great difference. does it have to do with the network frequency Umobile use? Because U Mobile running on 2100MHz for 3G and 2600MHz for LTE compare to Celcom 900/2100MHz for 3G and 1800/2600MHz for LTE. Higher frequency had better network capacity but poorer indoor coverage.

QUOTE(TXSim @ Jul 22 2016, 11:57 PM) Hi, how's the U Mobile data coverage, digi data coverage not so good. Some place don't have signal like Beach and forest. U Mobile good enough for me but Digi is better.

QUOTE(Hummingbird @ Jul 24 2016, 11:22 AM) Not so fast I guess? It still needs to wait for the existing holders to reform and after that building and testing. Don't think it can start on the first day of holding the band. Spectrum refarming starts from early this month and expected to done by 1/7/2017

Is it me or everyone? U Mobile's 3G are extremely slow across most area in Klang Valley and almost unusable unless connected to LTE. If this persist, I would consider porting out.

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jul 25 2016, 05:31 PM) If fast internet is what you are looking for in UMobile, then you are looking at the wrong place. When you go for you mobile, you are looking at cheap and value for money. Their service is significantly worse if comparing these few months with earlier this year

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jul 25 2016, 05:51 PM) More subscribers jumping ship over to them. As expected. I happens to live in area where Digi, Celcom and U Mobile are all congested. Don't want to use Hotlink either , so probably Digi had less congestion This post has been edited by zher4883: Jul 25 2016, 06:46 PM

QUOTE(stephantsen @ Jul 27 2016, 12:58 AM) 4 years here also no complain with umobile line , not fast but usable around 10mbps on 3G and 30mbps on 4G. You are so lucky that there's no significant congestion in your area.

QUOTE(Hummingbird @ Jul 27 2016, 06:39 PM) I read somewhere that you can choose to stream 720p and above but it will consume the main quota first instead of the video onz Don't believe me just try it. I've done it before.

QUOTE(David_Yang @ Jul 27 2016, 08:59 PM) I am interested to buy this Super Broadband Prepaid Package with Mifi Modem for 249: http://www.u.com.my/u-broadband/prepaid_plans Anybody tried this Umobile Mifi already? Is it unlocked, so that you can put in a Singapore or Thailand SIM when abroad? And it seems not to be a 4G modem, 21Mbps sounds a little bit strange. And when you have that MB68 Plan, can you still use Internet when Validity is finished? Don't even bother to buy that device because it's a 3G mifi. 4G mifi are quite affordable nowdays.

QUOTE(David_Yang @ Jul 27 2016, 09:27 PM) Ah, thanks, if it is only a 3G mifi then it is useless of cause. But so far I did not see a affordable 4G mifi from any Telco. Buy it standalone. You can get it from online stores.
