If U Mobile doesn't cap the speed, why do you need to spend significant much more time to load even when your LTE speed could hit 40Mbps? Don't try to throw all these jargons to me and doesn't try to answer the question.
*
First, it depends on the availability of the video in one of Google's nearest POP.
Second, even on my Unifi connection(30Mbps), the speed is just only 20Mbps(stat from nerds). This means that Google's POP server has not the full potential of consuming all of your speed.
Third, what do you mean by load? Loading a video or buffering it? If loading, then it's all about latency.

Then, it's safe to assure that U Mobile cap the quality as they stated.

Google will not run out of POP capacity so easily and it's not like only Malaysia and Singapore had POP. We don't talk about Unifi here since we all knew TM's peer routing to certain ISP in Singapore is totally messed up. So you are suggesting me that U Mobile had triple digit to server that is merely less than 500 miles away from us? U Mobile must had terrible peer routing if they really do.
*
Well, maybe not easily, but to save their precious bandwidth.. Bandwidth costs money you know.
I'm suggesting that UM is capping VideoOnz partner's video quality.

And, do you have to use official app (example youtube) or is it still unlimited if you use browser?
*
You can even use your browser's compression feature such as Opera Mini and Google Chrome to surf videos on VideoOnz.

Nice. kroul2.
Video Onz sounds perfect for my needs. Sounds almost too good to be true, in fact rclxms.gif

edit: actually, after looking at the link, it say "* Not available for browsers that perform compression on web pages such as Opera Mini."

are you sure it'll be unlimited on those browsers?
*
It's what U Mobile stated in T&C. Everything wrong should be refer to UM.
Btw, check it frequently to avoid other data reduction.

Hi,

I have some questions to ask

Q1. I have a main line P70 with 2 sublines each paying RM10. Can I apply the 3rd subline with monthly payment RM10 (same as the other 2 sublines)

Q2. Is that possible to replace one of the existing subline (e.g. 018-XXXXXXXX) with another number registered under my name from another operator (e.g. 012-XXXXXXXX) and still paying monthly RM10?

Q3. Is that possible to upgrade from P70 to P98 with sublines still paying RM10 every month (e.g. RM98[P98] + RM10[sub1] + RM10[sub2] + RM10[sub3])?
Thanks
*
Wait, why do you have a main line of P70 but still paying RM10 for subline? RM10 each subline is just for U28, right? For P70, it is Share 20 and Share 50.

Q1
Yes you can. The maximum sublines that can be registered is 3. Source: http://u.com.my/postpaid

Q2 & Q3 is unanswerable since P70 and P98 is not eligible to subscribe to a share line with only RM10.

Loaded with data on P98 now I'm struggling to even pass the mid line of the quota.

Good job to Umobile for this awesome plan! Hope they improve the line quality though. Sometime, even with LTE on, it's hard to stream 720p videos.

VideoOnz is meant to make users watch videos in 480p

subscribe before Jan 2016 entitled member line RM 10, just for sharing data
surely they will extend, just see how they adjust, new plan /adjustment at least once on Jan and once on July during dealer conference dinner  tongue.gif

Now I know hahaha. But if VideoOnz is phased out(replace with YT only, etc), won't UM tower will be less congested?

Thanks for that information, to answer your question, my meaning of switch data plan meaning switch between freebies plan as the free basic internet is slow than the high speed Internet, so I want to choose which data plan to use but since you've tell me the order, it solves my wondering of it using the basic internet before high speed
*
You cannot simply choose which data to use. You'll consume data in order set by U Mobile

Base on my experience...

Maxis runs on both 1800MHz and 2600 MHz, WIDER COVERAGE.

U Mobile runs on 2600 MHz, if you are near at their hot spot then OK, if not.... better stick with Maxis.

Celcom also run on 2600 MHz, they have more hot spots, but they sux if you are out of their LTE coverage.

DiGi havent try, but I heard they also on 1800 and 2600 MHz.
*
Digi has both. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digi_Telecommunications
Btw, Digi's LTE coverage is much better now. My area around Puchong got 50Mbps on speedtest.net. Ofc I forgot to test the speed on fast.com haha

u10 is payu (pay as you use) for all usage,  not sharing any data / free calls /  free sms

useful for datuk nenek yang pakai 3310  tongue.gif  or just wanna keep the number while you need to oversea for long term

Useful information bro biggrin.gif . I'm wondering why does UM's website are so clunky and hard to find information...
