I agree with the opinion of "extended" marketing tactic/gimmick but Umobile have been antagonizing other telcos for the past 2 years. We wouldn't be seeing lower rates and better internet plans if not for the antagonized telcos. biggrin.gif

I just got Umobile simcard yesterday. But the speed, so so slow. 0.3mbps / 80 ping.
Did I miss anything? Like, need to activate Mobile Internet?

You're having a "normal" speed.
Tip: Use 4G instead of 3G

Now u see U Mobile offer kaw kaw.
But some people complain line 3G takde la. Slow la.
Also with more people use their service. Expecting new great thing will come.

After Xpax renew their plan. Suddenly esok lusa U Mobile already give limited time only plan. Which us consumer expecting that UM will extend or make it permanent. Who know right? biggrin.gif

Baiklah.... I kena ada patience. Kalau 4G memang cepat ke?

Unless the specific area is really congested, there should be no problem when using 4G

I just switched to the U-moble prepaid pack and I changed my mobile network to U-Mobile, APN to their settings, enabled data, etc...

I live in PJ with full signal, its H+ like always and downloading 5MB application takes 10-20 mins. Am I missing something here?

My phone doesn't have 4G. Jus saying.

This is U Mobile's 3G speed. Dunno what's their problem sweat.gif

Sorry, confirm one more time pls.

I am using prepaid UMI20.

If my UMI20 package is still active but line is inactive...
I can still use data (send/receive WhatsApp, browse Internet) right?
*
Yes you can. Only outgoing calls can't

We used to enjoy subscribed data even if the validity passive for prepaid.

With this new upgrade, not sure this trend will be continued or not.

I read through the t&c btw.

Still be continued, don't worry smile.gif

New Prepaid Plan is the name of U Mobile's old prepaid plan. It gives you 2x validity
Power Prepaid is the latest U Mobile's prepaid plan. It gives you 1GB data + 2GB basic data
