This is a clear win win situation for both IJM and Gamuda by opening the internal road.
Rimbayu residents can come via internal route to Quayside for shopping at the same time Gamuda residents can come over to Uptown for hanging out too. Rimbayu resident can avoid u-turn at the junction.

Info from sales peeps at the Gallery and my own visits/observations since I live in Rimbayu:
1. yes there will be a link road from Uptown/IJM to the Gamuda side. Drove there a few weeks ago, saw an excavator clearing the land near the dead end of Persiaran Oleander (Ref: https://goo.gl/maps/pCPdWp7DXPjCc5p2A )
2. IJM's project Meta (fka Akira) will be at that location near the link road to Gamuda. (Ref: https://goo.gl/maps/p96UZpfTZ7pRpsLy5 )
3. Near Meta there was a proposed land for a police station before but cancelled.
4. The empty piece of land beside Rimbayu Kopitiam (along Jalan Flora 2/1) will be either a serviced apartment built there or a commercial lot.
5. The lake areas near BSP's new mosque, will be some waterfront housing projects that will kickstart in 10 years' time. (Ref: https://goo.gl/maps/koKsYNjip4aPPEGPA )
6. Known to everyone already the flyover to KK to bypass the traffic lights at Jln Lombong intersection. However, it ain't gonna happen too soon. The main traffic mitigator will be the road from IJM to Gamuda for now.
7. The empty strip of land sandwiched between Livia and Penduline https://goo.gl/maps/mDn6iafqkjq9oEFP8 are open for sale for patrol stations but no one took the offer. If materialised, this will be the 3rd patrol station after the ones near Mekdi.

9. Mosque at the intersection near Penduline/Livia/Swan can only materialise once funding is completed, this will take between 5-10 years to materialise, Saw traffic light signs up already, soon traffic lights will be erected.

2. The road with a dead end near ELITE, parallel to Jalan SP 6/8 rumoured to have a flyover across to Cyberjaya (ref: https://goo.gl/maps/cKjgGhCijp4esNqs6 ). This is to mitigate traffic from Rimbayu/BSP'ans who work in Cyberjaya, Putrajaya or MEX users. This is also to provide access for the Idaman BSP RSKU (Ref: https://goo.gl/maps/tnXehJfJMcJuyaVG8 ) to go to BSP or Cyberjaya/Putrajaya.
3. There will be a slip road from Sau Seng Lum via an underpass of WCE to the Lumayan Agro Farm https://goo.gl/maps/LNsR6Q4HSHaVecGy9. Msged the farm owner, and he confirmed there is an underpass. He now builds some structures facing the WCE side https://goo.gl/maps/J9dgafN962dT38X49 to expand his farm and to entice visitors from Rimbayu side. This road if materalised will be a backroad to Jenjarom & TPG for Rimbayuans.
4. KK to Bukit Lanchong bridge https://goo.gl/maps/KK2LMWejuEQaot518 planned around 2014-2015 to mitigate traffic to LRT users at Putra Heights but heavily protested by selfish PH peeps

Another traffic mitigation that might seem to be fruitful and beneficial for Rimbayuans is the Sungai Klang Expressway. 2 companies are head to head to win this tender, but Selangor govt seems to favour and approved the proposal from Propadu

Sungai Klang Link (SKL) by Propadu via SKLSB proposal
It is a highway that starts from KL near Istana Negara and ends in Klang.

All these traffic improvement plans will continue to be in drawing board at least for the next 5 years I guess but hopefully something will be done to improve the current traffic situations. More commercials are coming with TA also launching its new commercial shoplots (opposite uptown) while Seruang Square seems to be promising as well (CBTL confirmed as one tenant), all these will definitely bring more traffics into this mega township. Oh ya, BTW seems like 1st petrol station is finally coming up at the land near TA sales gallery along persiaran rimbayu, saw some ground works started and hoarding is up too.

The excavator is clearing the land after they laid underground pipe for Rasau Water Treatment Plant project.
Not likely it's work for link road at the moment.
