QUOTE(MeToo @ Jun 30 2017, 04:13 PM) Refer to the map i attached in the prev page. to goto KL (and I assume KLCC)....why not use WCE --> SKVE--> short drive on Jalan Putra Permai link into Maju ExpresswayWCE licked to SKVE which link to ELITE via the BSP tol. No need to go through the BSP toll bottle neck at SKVE linking to ELITE. right? If they go ahead with the Carey island port project, I suspect there will be more road improvement on SKVE e.g. better interchange for SKVE linking to ELITE north or south bound. |

QUOTE(qwerty223 @ Jul 1 2017, 09:56 AM) Wonder i you are from another dimension, of all the road you mention, don't u know each of the crossing intersection itself takes 15 min and above? WCE - SKVE intersection is still being built ...we dont know if its going to take 15 mins and above?SKVE - Jalan Putra Permai on the way to Maju Expressway E20 ..I can see that it may takes 15 minutes and above especially during peak traffic hour. I guess if want to stay at Canal city the best is to work flexi hour e.g. can go office anytime.or own a business |

Dont know if this is good news or not for Canal City..
https://www.theedgeproperty.com.my/content/...campaign=buffer Giant Ikea warehouse to be built in Pulau Indah. If they have a giant Ikea warehouse here...it does not take much effort to add a retail component to it . Just like one in Germany.. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Revi...Westphalia.html The Chicago Ikea warehouse is still under construction. If they have a retail component to it .....at least folks from Klang, bukit tinggi, canal city (Bandar rimbayu, Tropicana Aman, Eco Santuari), Shah Alam dont have to drive to Ikea Damansara and Ikea Cheras. Once West Coast Expressway is completed and with linkage to SKVE and Kesas...the customer base also increase to drive the traffic into this giant Ikea warehouse. |

QUOTE(JohnyCool @ Aug 25 2017, 08:34 AM) Not everybody want to live near KLCC la. To be honest I go KLIA more than go KLCC nowadays. This location is in between the country main sea port (Port Klang) , main airport (KLIA) e.g. country main logistics centers and industrial hubs (PJ , Shah Alam, Subang, USJ). For some people....that is more important than near KLCC. Thus, location is all relative to each individual circumstances and needs. This post has been edited by willyboy88: Aug 25 2017, 09:37 PM |

QUOTE(aaron1717 @ Aug 28 2017, 09:47 AM) bro... no point keep debate on this la... for those whose been staying near KL most of their life.... when they looking for a landed in outskirt areas... this question always pop up... just ignore... no matter how much u mentioned... you will see the topic come out again.... nauseating boring topic.... ok . np. I was not debating him. Just explaining the facts.i rmb i told a forummer before... im happier now circling around these northen part of the klang valley than staying near those messy unplanned location within 20km radius to KLCC.... haha....I actually lived in KL for more than half of my life. I then move to the suburbs. I cherish the greenery and peacefulness in the suburbs more than the bustling town center as I grow older and as my family grows. For some single persons....staying close to the bustling town center is desirable. For some family persons....staying close to nature and with good schools for kids are typically the main criterias when looking for a house. Klang Valley is big enough...there is something for everyone at the different stage of their lives. |

Parent has a leasehold condo. Last time buy 80k only. Now 20-30 years later...400k.Inflation mah....land price will increase, salary increase, ringgit value decrease. cost of labour and construction material increase. I think when Klang Valley run out of land....apa apa 'hold' pun boleh....whether its leasehold, freehold....does not really matter much anymore. Janji ada tanah/land. Just look at Singapore. Im not speculate will open in Canal city, but southen development is very fast. Another one is Gamuda Cove. Gamuda have proposed link to Canal City as well. http://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/ikea...ng-valley-store I agree with u that this time it should be southern KV. I think this new store is either going to be directly accessible through WCE/SKVE or NSE/Elite. Maybe this third store could be near the giant distribution center at Port Klang and will be the largest store in Klang Valley. Let the speculation begin lol... |

QUOTE(wlchong79 @ Mar 13 2019, 08:43 AM) Whether it reduces travel duration or not....it depends on the time of day and where in KL/PJ the person is heading to.WCE will provide residents here extra alternative routes. WCE will act as an alternative North South aligned highway from the congested ELITE highway. It may reduce the existing congestion at ELITE by dispersing North and south bound traffic. It also provides an alternative for connecting to KESAS if there is a major traffic jam at Kota Kemuning exit, Bukit Rimau exit or Jalan Kebun exit to KESAS. It also provides an alternative route to PJ e.g. WCE->Federal Highway-> PJ or WCE -> NKVE-> PJU It also provides an alternative route to KL e.g. WCE -> SKVE -> Jalan Putra Permai -> MEX highway (SKVE is currently congestion free and one don't have to pass through Bandar Saujana Putra roundabout) It also provides an alternative route to KLIA e.g. WCE -> route 31 and 32 -> KLIA Who knows in the distance future WCE may be extended all the way to Port Dickson, Melaka etc. In my opinion, I think a bridge to connect Kota Kemuning to Putra Heights will further open up this location to LRT accessibility on top of the existing Johan Setia LRT station that is under construction Overall, it is good to have many alternatives to improve the accessibility of this location. |

QUOTE(mingyew @ Mar 13 2019, 12:19 PM) Actually WCE / SKVE link will bring huge commercial opportunity to canal city. Hope the currently congestion free SKVE dont turn into another heavily jam NKVE or KESAS so that some canal city folks can utilize the WCE/SKVE-> MEX or KL Seremban highway to go to KL South/Bukit Jalil/TPM/Seri Petaling/Sungai Besi/Cheras areas. or WCE/SKVE -> LDP tp go to Puchong areasAnd also, the proposed alternative shah alam - banting road also is pass by canal city. First time I am hearing that there is a proposed alternative shah alam - banting road that also passes by canal city. This post has been edited by willyboy88: Mar 13 2019, 11:08 PM |

QUOTE(wlchong79 @ Mar 13 2019, 03:17 PM) Here you go.If we look at the map, canal city folks should have many options to exit to KESAS a) Persiaran Angerik Mokara -Kota Kemuning exit b) Bukit Rimau exit c) Jalan Kebun exit d) WCE -> KESAS exit KESAS might jam but there are other options. e.g. Federal highway, NKVE, SKVE Once DASH is completed, folks here could also leverage the ELITE->GCE->DASH route to go to PJ North areas. It all depends on where ones are going and the time of the day. I understand it is not going to make the driving distance any shorter etc I am just mentioning the many options and accessibility choices available (rather than relying on a single entry and exit route from an accessibility perspective) This post has been edited by willyboy88: Mar 13 2019, 10:29 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(gks @ Mar 13 2019, 10:36 PM) Looking at the map that you shared... It seems. There is not direct interchange from BR/TA to SKVE and WCE. Correct me if I am wrong. There will be a direct link from canal city west side to both SKVE and WCE.The road will look something like this. (refer photo attached). QUOTE(gks @ Mar 14 2019, 12:28 AM) Not in construction yet. Most of the WCE constructions is still focusing on the northern part of Klang Valley. eg Bukit Raja area etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TUfb69w3Jc On the southern KV part, they just start clearing some of the land e.g. wce/kesas interchange (refer third photo in my earlier post) I think still have at least 1-2 years to go before the SKVE-WCE interchange, direct link road from canal city to WCE/SKVE is completed. The WCE project is kinda slow/delayed ...but I have no doubt it will be completed eventually. This post has been edited by willyboy88: Mar 14 2019, 08:08 AM |

QUOTE(8sg9ft @ Apr 11 2019, 09:12 PM) Yeah understood. In any case IJM should be building that road towards skve/wce anyway. Add in the fact that wce holdings is partly owned by IJM corp too. Haha Yeah lah. WCE is led by Kumpulan Europlus Berhad the project majority owner and Road Builder Group a subsidiary of IJM Corporation Bhd.On a side note, it looks like the ERCL southern route is back in the picture. eg they may axe the gombak and bentong route in favour of a cheaper southern route. https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2019...nd-gombak-axed/ If they can place a rail station somewhere in TPG or somewhere along SKVE/WCE interchange along the route from Labu to Port Klang. That will be sweet. haha p/s: photos shared by someone from another forum. This post has been edited by willyboy88: Apr 11 2019, 11:26 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(astrosurge @ Apr 12 2019, 12:31 AM) Looks legit, and it may be possible. The southern corridor can be populous It looks like there is a proposed ECRL station somewhere in the Canal City vicinity. This station is one station away from Putrajaya Sentral and one stop away from Port Klang. At Putrajaya Sentral there are connectivity to go KLCC using MRT, to go KLIA /KL sentral using ERL and potential connectivity to future HSR to Singapore etc. More choices for Canal city residents. QUOTE(astrosurge @ Apr 13 2019, 01:53 AM) I am going to speculate here.If we look at the initial realigned ERCL map that was distributed on the media , the proposed station is just on the north of Kuala Langat district line. The lines on the map represent each district border in Selangor. Thus, I am speculating that the proposed station is at where the red star is on the Google map. (based on the Kuala Langat district border line on Google map). On the same day, the Selangor Menteri Besar announced that they are in the midst of reviewing approvals of major theme parks construction to be located in Kuala Langat district. He mentioned that these theme parks are located in land in between Kota Kemuning and Sijangkang at Kuala Langat district. Investment worth 15 billion on 800 acres of land. On the google, the only 800 acres available between Kota Kemuning and Sijangkang is on the Felda land highlighted by the blue star. https://selangortv.my/taman-tema-kuala-langat-menanti/ https://selangorkini.my/2019/04/kuala-langa...-ala-hollywood/ If these are true and go ahead as planned. It will be a big deal for the surrounding areas(Southwest Klang Valley). Suddenly, the low-value agricultural land here will become very valuable. In a sense, these make sense, we have rail connections that bring loads of tourists from Putrajaya/KLIA to the theme parks. The proposed ERCL station could also be connected in the future to the Johan Setia LRT3 line and Putra Height LRT lines to close the big Klang Valley LRT circle loop. The location is well connected by highways e.g. SKVE, WCE, and KESAS which can bring local tourist to these theme parks. The Boustead cruise ship terminal is nearby, which can bring loads of cruise ship tourists to these theme parks. If these are Disney theme parks eg. Disneyland, Animal kingdoms, Hollywood studio, Epcot center https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/destinations/ It will nicely compete and complement the Universal Studio in Singapore. Just my speculation. Dont know if it will become true or not haha This post has been edited by willyboy88: Apr 13 2019, 06:56 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |
