so what does IPv6 do?
*
It will support an astronomical number of Internet addresses (3.2 x 10^38).

IPv4 will run out when it reaches 4+ billion.

There are already 7 billion people on this Earth.

Really ah?

I didn't know.

I was using an ASUS RT-N12D1 router with IPv6 fully running on it with Unifi.

No problems.

Didn't feel the IPv6 "slowness". biggrin.gif

Nevermind la. ipv4 also ok.
Even if total world population is 7bil. Only 40% world population get internet access & only less 5% people online at a time. Still a lot ip address available.
So u only need to worry about 1pv6 maybe 10 years from now. Maybe that time u already own new router.

Because I used to have IPv6 running perfectly on my previous ASUS RT-N12D1 router.

It is old and not a gigabit router like the new TL-WR1043ND. Wifi also weaker. biggrin.gif
