Hey peeps,

I seen from Intel page that it no longer provides driver of Intel HD 3000 for W10, I don't have the dual-graphics like other laptop. Has anyone with Acer 4752 or Intel HD 3000 ONLY laptop manages to update to W10 without any problem? I'm considering update for now since it is free, but this issue is holding back on me.

Is it possible to download Free W10 now and create a clean installation disc and install to my "future" laptop? drool.gif

Lappy spec:
Processor: i3-2350M
RAM: 6gb ddr3
OS: Windows 7 Pro 64bit
Graphic: Intel HD 3000

That's the effect of doing dirty upgrade

zhenenlim just proceed
Don't believe those people whose complaining about Windows 10, most of them only had issue with Windows 10 because they did a dirty upgrade
Clean install wouldn't have all those issues

Better don't use upgrade type (from Win7 to Win 10), use the clean install directly win10. It will must more stable compare use upgrade type.

For the graphic, I believe there is no problem for it as Microsoft will automatic detect your device and auto install the driver.

For my case, I only having the issues my laptop hang or unable to resume back windows after sleep or hibernating sometimes. I even uncheck the fast startup, but feel nothing effect at all. If this problem can resolve, it is REALLY AWESOME. No more Win8.1 rclxs0.gif

Do you guy any expert to solve for my problem? cry.gif

if w10 is that bad, news will be all over the net, and everyone will be affected.

JuneResources, have you checked if there is a latest system bios for your laptop? if yes, please apply it first. my laptops don't have issue resuming from sleep. all of them.

It's possible, because sleep / hibernate involve making adjustments to hardware, and system bios plays a part in the process.

There should be notes regarding the system bios updates. Maybe it can give you some clues.

Edit: also, it's important to read all notes and instructions to do bios upgrade properly. Please do read them all. Some bios need progressive updates, for instance, you have a.04 bios, you need to go through a.05, a.06,etc before you can go to a.08.

It's better to follow official instructions. This is because improper upgrade process might cause bios failure, which means the computer will fail to run. If reverting to previous bios also failed in such cases, that means you need to seek help from manufacturer, which involve things like warranty validity and their acceptance to repair due to improper handling.

In short, it will be a much time-consuming mess. Why do you wanna take such risks while you have the choice to avoid all that?

You can upgrade to 10 but your 3d performance might be non-existent.
Try running a current 3d game to be sure that you at least have a driver that works ...

Your driver wouldn't be a problem... I got a friend that managed to upgrade that old 32bit 1Malaysia Samsung netbook with Windows 7 Starter to Windows 10 and all the drivers appears to be certified for Windows 10 uses...

The only problem is RAM...

You need to clean install. Don't worry about the activation because the moment your PC upgraded to Windows 10, your PC will automatically registered to Microsoft. Then you can permanently reformat and clean install Windows 10. Even you can replace to new SSD or used HDD to install Windows 10 as long as you keep install your Windows 10 in the same PC machine ID.

If your previous Windows 7/8.1 got virus issue or system problem, you cannot just blame Windows 10 sucks after you upgrade. It is only happens on your own PC but 99% of other Windows 10 users doesn't facing the problem because I was clean installed Windows 10 to my PC. I did boot & clean installed Windows 10 Pro with a bootable USB drive.

Seriously, for HD3000 you might want to consider reversing and going back to 7.
It's a good chip, but 10 doesn't have much support for it. Though if you are only using it for office applications it is fine, but even then there are some applications that won't run under 10.

Send a PM if you're interested to service the laptop.

Yeah I know about the HD3000 lack of supports for win 10, but I don't see there is any future update for HD3000 even I stayed on 7. So far all of the function in my laptop working fine anyway tongue.gif Technology gone so fast these days, the specs of laptops are getting better with reasonable price.

Anyone facing a buzzing sound in Dota after upgrading to Win 10? When I mute, the sound is gone. So it's probably an audio issue. Reinstalled and updated audio driver, still same.

2 possibility or maybe more:-

- your win 10 corrupted
- your audio driver not supported in wind 10 yet
