QUOTE(tonertoner @ Sep 21 2020, 05:09 PM) Thanks that means 2015/2016 make is the same model? If yes what is the difference between 2015/2016 make vs 2014 make? Sorry, you must be referring to the 2.4 petrol XM model, not the latest UM model. Year 2011-2013 - XM model (Round type fog lamp ) Year 2014-2016 - XM Next Gen facelift model. (Rectangular shaped fog lamp & LED taillamp) The facelift model come with more features compared to the pre-facelift. Sorry I can't remember the details of the differences except the exterior lamps and tail lamps

Hi. I am driving a 2019 Kia Sorento petrol 2.4L.hoping the brothers and sisters can help. Car is great but Been having problems with the power steering for over 8months with highway driving sticky/notchy steering feel and at low speed there is a slight clicking noise. Kia has said it’s a warranty issue with the power steering but they cannot get a delivery date through Naza for the parts. I have contacted Naza customer service and keep chasing with no delivery date. Anyone facing a similar problem or had success fixing this?

Could be the steering rack...Mine is the first Gen (2013/14) model, and had similar issue, and warranty claimed it. Right now Naza is selling off their distribution of Kia, hence massive stock take and inventory book keeping is in progress, therefore spare parts are frozen...sigh! so i guess you have to wait a little longer, unless the SC has stock.

Thank you Not recommended to buy at the moment...no support on warranty as Naza Malaysia not interested to further its business at the moment , i suppose.....some current owner even struggle to find SC that can service the car which is still under free service... Kia is a good car but not represented well by its current franchise/dealership owner in Malaysia...

Oh, the warranty was one of the reasons to consider as this will minimize the worry of buying a used car. I was also considering a Grand Carnival so I suppose it will have the same warranty issue as well... Whats the official comment from Naza M'sia? Thanks for the heads up. !

I really like the new Carnival, if given a chance I would trade my Sorento for it! As for SC,, their support is fine, but to get parts, its really difficult now since stock is frozen, sigh! There are few bidders including bmw to take it over but no confirmation yet.

Hi, Great feedback thanks. Curious why would you go for the Grand Carnival instead of the Sorento? The Grand Carnival ticks all the boxes for space/practicality but may not be as nice drive since its such a big car esp. for city driving? Due to big family, I've shortlisted (all used) the Sorento, Grand Carnival & Honda Odyssey.

But for bigger family especially long distance, my only gripe is the boot space and rear leg space. hence Carnival meets that need better Size wise its not huge difference although from eyeball point Carnival appears to be bigger Carnival Sorento Length 5115 mm 4800 mm Width 1985 mm 1890 mm Height 1740 mm 1690 mm

Kia Motors Corporation plans to make Malaysia the regional manufacturing hub for the Kia vehicles in Asean and other potential markets.
Kia Asia Pacific president and chief executive officer Ted Lee said the South Korean carmaker had recognised the vast potential Malaysia would bring.
Kia had found it timely to raise the bar to progressively tap into Malaysia's potential, Lee said at the signing of a joint venture agreement with Bermaz Auto Bhd (BAuto) to form Kia Malaysia Sdn Bhd here today.
For a start, Kia Malaysia will undertake the assembly of completely knocked down (CKD) of three Kia vehicles.
The first two models - Kia Seltos and Kia Carnival - are expected to be produced locally within 12-18 months.
The third model will be determined at a later stage.
Kia is the second largest carmaker in South Korea, and together with parent Hyundai Motor Group, is the world's fifth largest automotive manufacturer.
On the potential investment into the CKD operation, Yeoh said it would take about US$20 million to set up the production line of a product.
He also said that Kia Malaysia would help address the after sales issues faced by Kia owners under the previous distributor.
Kia has appointed BAuto's subsidiary Dinamikjaya Motors Sdn Bhd as the new distributor of its vehicles in Malaysia.
As the new distributor, Dinamikjaya holds the right to distribute and sell Kia vehicles, CKD and completely built up (CBU), sale of genuine parts as well as in the provision of after-sales service and to build Kia's brand reputation and awareness in Malaysia.
Elaborating on the new partnership, Lee said Kia had chosen BAuto after months of searching for the right partner.
"With BAuto's proven capability in successfully building up automotive marques in Malaysia and the Philippines as well as their automotive manufacturing experience, we believe we have placed the Kia brand in good hands under the capable leadership of its."
Tae said BAuto was a renowned listed automotive company in Malaysia with a strong management team and good track record.
Yeoh said Kia vehicles were well-known for their stylish looks, packed with smart features, frequent facelifts and new launches that keep prospective buyers excited over its products.
"The partnership will complement our existing automotive businesses and we look forward to a successful collaboration with Kia," added Yeoh
