Update on my 'missing' dividends 1999- 2004 for ASW.

ASNB replied and stated the cheques were cleared. The letter is very detail on date of cheque issued and date of clearance at the bank.
So, it's must be auntie twinkle 'memory loss'. blush.gif
Anyway, it's good to clear this issues. thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif to ASNB for answering my 'embarrasing' enquiry. blush.gif

Which means we can initiate a transfer to another person anytime?

What's the latest asnb address in Shah Alam? I know they shifted
*
Same building. Was at the new unit this am. Very impressive, big & spacious. Closer for those who park their cars at the housing area.

My idol auntie....so how do u /they rectify the big suprise ah??
*
They will not be able to correct the passbook but once you have a next purchase, the system will update it with the latest balance. The 'missed' transaction will not appeared in the book but your balance in new transaction will include the 'missed' transaction. It was partly my fault for not checking it before leaving bank.

QUOTE(nexona88 @ May 24 2016, 12:15 PM)
I'm impress they have keep all records tip top eventho years ago  thumbsup.gif

even if we loss the record, we can visit ASNB to get all records from day 1 which is good for us  rclxms.gif  rclxm9.gif
*
nod.gif , thumbsup.gif as everything is very clear including the date cheque sent and cleared at the bank.

Mid day report:-

I went to ASNB, Shah Alam with my niece in the am as I wanted to try open ASM & ASW2020 for her. Luckily place is quite empty. Beautiful & spacious new branch.

For my niece-

1st try- Failed. Only minimal unit <100 in the system. Those who need to open account, must be patience and wait till at least 100 unit available in the system.
2nd try- Managed to open ASM & bought her some extra units.
- ASW still insufficient unit.
3rd try- Finally able to open ASW2020 with only 100u. I'm happy as long as I can get 'THE PASSBOOK' first. Will give her more once ex dividend in Sept.

For myself-
1st try- ZERO unit.
2nd try- A bit of ASM & ASW.
3rd try- A bit of ASM & ASW.

Back to my little township-
A bit more of ASM & ASW.

All together a bit here and there, baby size but better than nothing. biggrin.gif

nod.gif nod.gif once one understand the reason behind why not possible to open any account, just need to wait and re Q for it to try your luck. All the Cik Adik there will try their best for you. After each transaction, I'll ask them if it's ok I sit and re Q again. Everyone said, no worry and please retry as many time as I want. Luckily, not many people there. We're the only Chinese investors there.
Unfortunately I have to leave earlier as I have other commitment or I'd have sit there and retry every 15mins until all my cash are gone. hmm.gif

I'll advice you to go to ASNB and wait for sufficient unit- minimum 100u to open account. I've tried banks but they are not able to view the units availability.
I've managed to open ASM & AS1M for myself earlier this month and today ASW & ASM for my niece at ASNB. Be patience and just wait and re Q to check availability. You just need 100unit to open an account.

one think I observed at ASNB office. they tend to be more friendly towards non-bumi if u talk to them well & humble.

sometimes don't needed to take Q number, they can try for u  thumbsup.gif

once I saw. one auntie sit down & waiting. the staff will try. if no units. they kept the passbook aside. do others customers transaction. later try back again. then the staff called her name. she went to counter. gave one big bundle of cash  flex.gif
I donno how long she waiting there. must be whole day I guess  thumbsup.gif

Plan to go back asnb next week to try.

I've wanted to do pengisytiharan amanah but they need IC copies of beneficiaries. I ended up just sitting there chit chatting with a couple of datuk & nenek, having good laugh at my plan with the amanah wasiat. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Mid day report-

Visited 2 banks-

1st bank
1st transaction- a bit of ASM, no ASW

2nd transaction- a bit of ASW & 10k of ASM.

(1 elderly customer managed to get a bit of everything also and her 2nd try, she got AS1M- 5 digits. She waited at the bank the whole am.)

2nd bank- I went in with the elderly lady to try our luck there but had a HORRIBLE encounter with the CIMB bank's manager. Anyway, I went up to the teller and try my luck- ZERO transaction. Once completed, I thank the lady teller for all her helps in helping with my ASX transactions and walked out, withdraw from ATM & did IBG transfer out from bank & leave minimal amount in the account upon advice from another banker.
Called up Customer service to complaint about the bank's manager attitude & will not do any future transactions with them. (Sorry! sign0006.gif)

Imbalance? You mean like they don't retain enough deposits/capital in their branch after you moved your deposit out to ASX?
*
Nope. Probably one of the tellers made a mistake. At the end of the day, their in/ out are not tally. I've been sending funds via instant IBG from HLB to CIMB for ASx transactions. Sometimes, if big amount, I'll deduct from my account. For small transaction, I just gave them cash. I'm sure the teller checked and double checked whatever amount I gave her, big/ small.

I reported her to CIMB customer service.

QUOTE(kkk8787 @ May 25 2016, 02:54 PM)
How is that even logical.
*
When I approached her (bank's manager was at the counter) for number and extra deposit forms, she said I can only try one time and no multiple tries. (That's what I had been doing. If the teller said , no units, occasionally, I'll leave and come back during the pm. I've never asked the teller to keep trying on the spot, If they 'hit' on successful transaction, the teller usually offered to try again. The ASNB, MBB, Affin staff also will offer to try again if 1st transaction successful.) My regular transaction is with Affin.
I can accept this logic as there are other customers waiting for their turn but when she brought up my multiple transactions caused bank's imbalance. I was like confused.gif
I was too shock to question her on the spot & I don't like confrontation. Hopefully Customer service will handle this issue.

But my area CIMB more accomodating than the other banks  thumbsup.gif

Initially I opened CIMB account for easy access to $ in account & the possibility of buying ASX on line. I was also thinking of cancelling MBB & Affin accounts once I hit my personal target and just keep CIMB for all other purposes. All CIMB staff are very nice but, but only the bank manager.

better report to ASNB HQ too.

sometimes banks customer service might "cover up" your case. I don't really trust them will take stern action.

Actually I was thinking of going to ASNB in the afternoon but I was just too upset. Now I'm feeling better.

Pm report:-

Visited my regular bank only.

1st transaction- ASM & ASW- all ZERO, not even 100u.

2nd transaction- my bank staff always try again without me asking especially if everything is ZERO initially.

He'd managed to hit ASM:- 4 digits + 0, 4 digits + 0, + 4 digits + last 4 digits to our surprise. Total a good 5 digits.

Just a gentle reminder to all

below happened in Kota Kinabalu --
http://dailyexpress.com.my/news.cfm?NewsID=110066
Published on: Wednesday, May 25, 2016

Kota Kinabalu:

A 60-year-old woman who just retired from the civil service will not be able to enjoy her hard-earned pension money of RM100,000 – she was robbed in broad daylight by two men at the traffic lights opposite Wawasan Plaza, here, Tuesday.
The victim withdrew all the cash from a bank at Api-Api Centre at about 9.20am and intended to invest all in the Amanah Saham Bumiputra (ASB) when the robbers struck 30 minutes later.
Speaking to Daily Express here on the same day, the victim said all the money was kept in a big envelope placed inside her handbag which she put on the car floor.
Upon reaching the traffic lights on the second lane from the right, she was shocked when a man smashed her left car window with a sharp object before grabbing her handbag.
She tried to stop the robber until some cash fell on the road but failed. She sustained wounds on her thumbs and index finger in the process.
The robber and his accomplice fled with the envelope containing her money on a motorcycle.
She also hit the rear of a Honda car in front of her Perodua Kembara in the incident.
To her disappointment, other motorists who witnessed the incident did not even bother to help her.
*
Thanks for sharing. The elderly lady who somehow followed me today had her hand bag snatched from her while walking previously. I'll be extra careful when I go to ASNB next week.

They probably give you that "Not you again" look. I don't know whether teller get extra KPI when they handle more ASNB trx. If so, no need to sour face I guess. Otherwise, I guess they will sour face as ASX transaction seem to give them more work and people say the new system is slow.

Last time the more fussy teller tell me, try once only. Then after I ask him to try again she said "Last time ya? No more after this." "Okay, got x amount. Very lucky already (don't try anymore). Other people whole day no unit."
*
CIMB teller told me before they can try once only but once it's successful, she usually offered to try again. By the way, I always go during off peak hours (1000-11.30) Bank is unusually quiet at this time, 2-4 customers with 5 counters in operation. Usually I only wait 2-10mins for my number. Before I leave, I always asked them if I may try my luck again if I cannot get any unit for that day. If they had said 'no', I'd not have bother to open any account and do instant IBG transfer so frequent.
Lesson learnt, no more trying ASX at CIMB here.

Pm report-

Managed to get from ASNB- am, Bank- pm. He/ She will asked me what's my limit for the day.
thumbsup.gif Staff automatically retried once transaction successful. If not, she/ he said I could retry again later with no problems.

ASW- 3 transactions- 4 digits + 4 digits + 4 digits= 4 digits

ASM- 5 transactions- 5 digits + 5 digits +4 digits + 5digits + 4digits= 5 digits.

My ASM will be hitting my personal target by tomorrow/ Monday. Just need a bit more & I'll stop 'requesting' for it. Can't believe that in less than a month, I've managed to complete AS1M & soon ASM.

hmm.gif ASW will take a longer time...

It's all about luck & timing. I came back from ASNB in the late morning and only visited bank a bit later and hit a big 5 digits straightaway.
Luckily I can walk 5-10mins / drive 2 mins to most banks.
