One day A a lot, another day B, another day C. You can never know.
All chances and randomness.

Everytime "mega" sales, will get snapped up in 2 days max.. from the looks of it.

Not true. Megasales v1 lasted for about 3-4 months. You can get any units, any book everyday.
*
I should have gone hunting that time..hmm

Btw, how does VP Asx compare with PMB? Has VP Asx ever lose NAV a lot?

Is it true that ASX is more profitable than other unit trust because PNB is given exclusive permission to invest in certain large GLC companies where other funds are not allowed to invest in?

Not really. The only good thing about ASX FP is good or bad times, you will get 6.x% while other funds during good time, you can earn yourself double digit returns and during bad times, your fund can be negative. (ASX FP cannot become negative because of the fixed price NAV)
*
And no service charge too.
Is ASX FP funds the only FP unit trusts available in Malaysia?

Good morning to everyone.

Is ASNB still operating regular hours during Ramadan month? My bank staff did mentioned he 'll leave earlier as he'll skip 'lunch' but I'm yet to reconfirm with him.

Can try to tweet them if you have Tweeter account:
www.twitter.com/asnbtweet
They seem to respond fast to tweets.

Or message to their official FB account.

------------

I just read the ASNB website on ASG out of curiosity. Looks they there are 3 types of ASG with different daily NAV prices.
-ASG Pendidikan
-ASG Kesihatan
-ASG Persaraan
So does this mean if someone open ASG, need to choose 1 of the types? Can they have all 3 types as well?

not so sure, so far today have 7~8 counters open in PNB.   :)
*
Sometimes ASNB will close counters and open only 2.

---

Anyone knows whether Pos Office use the same ASNB system as agent banks?

I remember one time I ask post office to check personal particulars they said they can't. But banks can do it. Or is the Post Office staff not know the system enough?

*
Ah Pek quite famous for doing this. Once I saw ah pek with that kind of clothes took out cash the size of a brick and he told the counter 30,000..

Last time China TV broadcast CCTV footage of somebody cross the road with lots of cash suddenly dropped his cash and the wind blew the cash all over the road. Everyone "Hallelujah" "Rain Money".

No not me. But someone else shared this story. Must check back who posted it.

Initially, I was one of those who'd always walking around with cash from bank to bank as I don't have any account with them except MBB. But I need to try all the other 3 banks if MBB not successful as they're so strict and said 1 x attempt only.
Each time I withdraw cash / 1' brick', I'd always 'scanned' upon entry & exit of the bank. Yes , auntie twinkle is always in shorts,  T shirt with sandals & tongkat umbrella. The 1 'brick' is always in regular worn out shopping bag.
Now, I've an account with the bank & used IBG instant transfer,  occasionally still carry extra cash as IBG online can transfer only max $50k/ day.
With majority of $ are in ASX accounts & limited $$, no more 'brick' to carry around.
*
Gone are the days Bank Negara issue RM500 and RM1,000 notes. Last time have, don't know why it was scrapped off. If not, only need 10 pieces of RM1,000 to make 10k. No need to carry 'bricks'.

guys need to confirm something.

friend of mine went to 2 maybank branch.. both say ASNB system down. Maybank HQ & another one at Medan Tunku. time one is 12.10pm, another one around 1.30pm.

fyi even ASB cannot :x

true or they kinda doing "oscar" :hmm:
*
System down can be branch specific though.. Sometimes certain branch just "lost connection" or something to ASNB. Encounter that many times before.. Told me to go other branch...

I also don't know what's the reason, maybe someone in branch log in too many times with wrong password and get locked out.

Not really. Happen to me before. Post office, maybank all offline for one particular fund.
*
I guess need to set aside emergency fund out of ASX. If somebody suddenly need to withdraw ASX urgently, then system down.. foooh..

There's always other funds. All 3 funds won't go offline. Keep max 1-2 months usage in maybank eGIA-i. Rest dump into ASX. That's what I am doing.
*
But during that time I think the 3 funds are in different stages of upgrading. Now all 3 funds on new system already. Might be possible that if the system down, all 3 funds will down.

I always have 1-2years back up plan for the worst scenario. It also helps I have not taken any loan in my lifetime.
I don't set high expectation for high returns on any investment including ASX too.

Aunty is a good example of good financial planning.
