Hi all, still quite new on Kodi here. Any way to load multiple M3U8 file with the IPTV Simple add-on? If no, how do I configure all my M3u8 URL so that I don't have to change them each time?
Any help is appreciated.
Hi, as others have already suggested. The Simple client addon wasn't designed with multiple playlists like that in mind. Hence the "Simple"..

... But yeah, It's either you do the maintaining yourself, constantly merging the lists into one mega list as they are updated... Or you..
1. Install and use the Playlist Loader addon...
Download Zip file...V1.3.02. Seek out a different app like Tivimate, MX Player, VLC, etc

Hi there
I too uses windows 7 on my old pc and run Kodi, let me share my experience.
Windows os is heavy good for mainstream application such as windows app development with plenty of resource to tap on.
However, if you will use it for daily application such a email, office and other commonly use application such as remote desktop ftp and many other applications together
with entertainment such as kodi or other iptv messaging and web browsing then you can consider installing Android into your old pc.
There are some 6 to 8 x86 os for pc which you can consider, of which i recommence you look into
1) phoenix os
2) remix
3) x86 Android
There are many more that you can read up and consider.
The advantage of duo boot android x86 and windows are. You can go back to windows as and when u need to run application that is in windows such as dedicate windows applications.
You can also boot into android and do what u do in windows with an increase in speed and support.
In android you can download most of the app from playstore app and use,
Kodi is a very powerful application but is heavy and thus slow. consider using iptv extreme or ott navigator and many more.
If you should want to know more pm me
Read up before you proceed. The installation maybe a little complex but once you are up, you may not want to go back to windows
Good Luck
As a fellow tinkerer.... I love the way you think..

I am already on tripple boot system currently. Windows 10 pro + PrimeOS + Phoenix.
For the 2 Android system, I prefer PrimeOS, it has the speed
but wifi chip not compatible. Can scan but can't join wifi

Phoenix interface is less attractive to me, and each time
after I use Phoenix and boot back to Win10 my pc time is haywire.Fam....Sure, you could still try installing some other Linux distro such as Mint or Ubuntu to get Kodi to work better....Or and since you've tinkered a bit and still coming up a tad short..For peace of mind, I strongly suggest you cough some RM2xx-ish and get a decent Android box.. Slap the latest Kodi on it and just kick back and enjoy..

this should be a basic Kodi question,
Is there a way to hv the subtitle display at the ON setting by default?
TIA
Hi.... depending on the addon being used... Kodi can be set to automatically load (local file or download from the internet) subtitles upon playback. Some addons have somewhere in their settings to enable this. but for those that don't. You'll need to install a subtitle addon (or more) of your own and then go into the subtitles preferences section under settings and enable the subs addond for movies and tv shows.. You can choose a preferred sub language too. I still prefer OpenSubtitles.org, Subscene, and Podnapsi. Let us know if you require more assistance.
