Hey guys, what's the best skin to configure/show widgets for traktv items from venom,sirens addons?
I just want them to show up when I launch kodi instead of having to dig deep into the addons option

Using a keyboard during playback.. Press 'T' to toggle subs on/off. Press 'L' to switch to the next available subtitle. If no keyboard, during playback, press the enter button to pull up the OSD menu... Navigate right till you get to the audio & subtitles menu (skin dependent).. toggle on and or choose local sub from there.

You can try the Chroma Skin as shown below...

i have been a big quasar fans for years, love it.

tried elementum once but won't use it becos it does not do audio passthru, unlike quasar for DD, DD+ files.


now quasar is dead as it isn't compatible with kodi19... been waiting for update but nothing.

so, i was forced to go to elementum.

but like i should have known, audio passthru won't work, so... it's just 1.1 audio for whatever files.

what i do is let it complete the job, then playback with another player app for audio passthru.


can i ask if anyone of u is using home theater and getting audio passthru with kodi19-elementum?

if yes, what device r u using?

is passthru for DD, DD+, DTS, DSTHDMA or just some of them?

That's weird fam... I've been getting proper audio passthru with Elementum. It's a Quasar fork and logically, the underlying tech is the same.. Just that it's more updated to keep with the times after Quasar had to die... I mostly use it to play TV series with DD embedded. No issues passthru to my Samsung HT.

Local subs is (1/2) but it didnt show anything
So i dload frm subtitle.org, show as (2/2) n use it
Now subtitle is showing


Question is why local subs didnt show anything ?

Sorry mate can't comment as not using any HT at the moment. Just 1-1 audio file playback from my Samsung NU8000..
Simple enuf for a simple guy like myself..

Hard ot say without having more details. Perhaps the .srt/sub file wasn't encoded properly or that Kodi is messing up. Hard to say.. You can try the same file(s) on VLC or MX player. See if it works there.

Possibly Hardware.... It's the same HT over the years and i've thrown multiple boxes & ROMs at it.. Okay okay mostly... Kodi running on Android or CoreELEC, result is same. Passthru is available.

Based on the dev's last post, Quasar is definitely dead. Chef faced too much pressure and had to quit it.

Are all addons working on Kodi 19?. By the way Kodi 19.1 is out.

Some work and others don't. Really the only way to find out is to backup your current install... Update and test out your preferred addons. If all okay for you? Remain with V19.1.. Else, no choice, have to roll back.

With build number jumps like V18 to V19, I prefer to uninstall and install the latest version and reinstall addons back again manually or from backup. Just to be sure I've got that clean install going.. But really you don't need to.. You could just install the update over it and for the most part, all should be fine after the first run.

Don't see why Kodi can't... The question is if one can find reliable sources to stream from with Kodi..

Have this problem some months ago but it is becoming a bit annoying now. When I play a movie on my Q5Pro, I cannot hear the dialogue. Can hear other sound. Some movies are aok but some not. Think it is due to the movie sound 5.1 Set my Onkyo AV to different modes movie, stereo, all speaker etc, still no dialogue.

What can I try to get the dialogue?
