OK Noted folks....thanks for the input. One last question on this topic...do I need to select no. of speakers in this setting or just leave it as 2?
Thanks again for your advice.
Yup...What AVFAN says... Enable pass-through if required and only enable formats your AVR/Sound equipment can handle.. The rest? let Kodi handle it.. Else, you won't get sound.

Sorry to barge in but what program addon is a must have/typically installed? Something like Indigo, urlresolver count as must have?
No need to apologize, It's all good here.. Typically, if you install certain addons directly from the maintainer's repo.. The installation would trigger the installing of required program addons too.
Indigo? Not so much.
urlresolver? Yes.
YouTube? Possible.. But you'd have to setup a Personal API Key for the addon to work on Kodi. Didn't use to be this way.. Might be a PITA for most.
Elementum? Yes!... try this first. If you face unresolvable issues? Uninstall and install Quasar (both addons work in similar ways..Quasar is older) instead. Elementum is more updated but might have issues depending on device and or firmware. It has been working quite fine for me lately. Didn't work well on my previous Minix Neo U1. Although that was a much older version. The addon has been updated a few times since then. So try it out first.
Honorable mentions include: GAIA, Exodus Redux, The Crew, and Tempest.
You just have to remember.. What's great today may not be great tomorrow.. The reverse can be the case as well. So enjoy these while you can and switch over as needed..

I am not able to open certain addons on Kodi. Says to view log file for more information. I had a brief look. Seems I am getting errors connecting to some plugins
Any ideas? Is Unifi blocking all addons on Kodi? Tried with both google and cloudflare dns but same issue
Nope.. I doubt the blocks are from TM. Most probably it's an internal network issue or device issue or the Kodi installation even. You'll need to troubleshoot to figure out the culprit.. I can help, just need more information, such as device and Kodi version. I assume you are on a strong network (ideally wired and not wireless) and trying to play content that IS available now for playback. Just because an addon lists a tiles dosen't always mean It's an active link, with playable media behind it.
