Firstly... We don't call it that anymore.. biggrin.gif .. Secondly, there's no UnifiTV addon. Never has and probably never will be. if IPTV addons are what you seek? I suggest you read through the last 10 or so pages. You should find something in there to satisfy you. icon_idea.gif

Kodi "Leia" 18.8 was released a few days ago. So hit those update buttons in your favorite app stores or head over to the official download page and grab your flavor. A TLDR summary of the change-log includes;

*Fixes a severe security issue in gnutls
*Other significant library/compatibility updates
*Gets client/server on MariaDB 10.5.4 working for Android
*Fixes video database access for Ubuntu 20.4 and other distros using earlier libfmt versions (search and other filtering failed)
*Fixes subtitle handling from archives
*Fixes CDDB access
*Makes minor improvements to logging and memory reporting/display
*Fixes EDLs where skip points are at the very start of a file
*Contains code improvements to fix specific events, e.g. race conditions in the EPG or "pause" on end of streams on Android
*Enables alpha blending for the video player (Windows)
*Better handles specific exceptions (Android, mostly)

Also Kore, the official Kodi remote has been updated to v2.5.1. You can get it today from Fdroid or the Google Play Store. The most relevant changes for this version are:

*Add support for sharing from Amazon Prime Videos and from Arte (The European Culture Channel) to Kodi
*Allow local playback of items in the "Files" section
*Fix download of media files not working
*Fix "Play from here" in the "Files" section
*Prevent continuous refresh of playlist in the remote section in some configurations
*Support sharing of local filenames with spaces in the name
*Support for self-signed certificates
*Remember last used tab in various sections

Enjoy...

There's no "real" difference in app versions (usually). It's just another official installation source. For Windows PC users, you can opt to install & get your updates from the Windows store servers versus "sideloading" as you have been doing to manually install the 64-bit version. With you, you know your system supports 64-bit architecture software, so you get that. Some users won't know if theirs is x86 or x64 and to take the confusion out? Just install and maintain via the Windows Store. It handles all that for them.

After RD went down about 2 days ago and the service recovered, my buffering problem seems to have improved.

Are you experiencing the same thing?

Hey... That was a tongue in cheek comment.. biggrin.gif .. You know I know la.. But basically, RD is the more popular option.. But recently they've suffered system issues la..their CS is poor la, some people lost their accounts and no response...etc.. So AD is sorta stepping in as the more stable option. You can check em out for free as they allow a free 7 day trial.. Let me know what you think of em too.. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi all.. Over the years, I've had my fair share of PMs and public messages asking what best Kodi addons, etc.. So I made a video of what my current recommendations are and.....well... I hope you enjoy it. All addons were battle-tested by yours truly and should suffice for now.. Please watch, like and sub to the channel.. icon_rolleyes.gif

Let me know what you think and if you'd like this to be a regular thing.. Thanks...

Been busy these past few weeks.. So not my best work. sweat.gif Enjoy nonetheless as you'll definitely notice some improvement beyond using default settings. I also go into details explaining what some key options in the settings mean and what does what. Which to toggle and which to leave as default.
