This shouldn't be... Your device still the Alfawise H96Pro+ running a custom fw? I've setup several more recent boxes, multiple variations of custom ROMs and mods, etc... And in each instance, no issue simply installing the latest Kodi from Play Store and all-in-one Elementum zip.. Simply works.. No VPN required..Also afaik, no isp throttling applied either.

Any sifu here using A95X MAX? Do you recommend to do a factory reset and reinstall kodi and only the necessary apps, will I lose any of its original functionality like the remote control or WiFi/LAN?

yes weird indeed. don't think it's related to ISP too. router running DHCP with CloudFare and Google DNS.
maybe i'll do a little bit more testing later on the MCO by resetting the router default DNS, and disabling IPv6.

Dude, I'm using Elementum as well, this is what I did when I had the same issues like you. In the Burst configuration you need to disable proxy and choose the ones has the Google DNS and etc. I cannot remember the exact options and this works for me flawlessly. On my router I'm using Quad9 DNS.

yes tried proxy disabled, and using public DNS...the "download" window will prompt but it seems like couldn't connect to seeds. download speed is 0. once i connect my VPN, it immediately starts downloading

First check to see if you are running the latest firmware for the A95X MAX and or if you'd like to explore custom ROM options. Most times, they offer better performance than stock, albeit with some unavoidable bugs.. Once settled, then yep, a factory reset will do some good, as a just in case. TBH, you'll only need Kodi and a few handful of other apps to be quite content. Nope, the reset won't make the box lose it's core functionalities. Remote control & network connections will still work as intended. Barring no hardware issues.

Truly weird, cuz the both the Elementum & Burst addon seems to be working (cuz can search & offer available links...even download window pops out).. What ISP are you using though? Cuz on the router level, you seem to be doing alright. Have you got a PC or an Android phone? Try install Kodi and Elementum, using the same network.. See if it works without the VPN.

Nothing to do with IPv6, I do not enable IPv6 on my PC and Kodi is working. Try to uninstall and reinstall.

ICDrama is working I think the source has problem, I was able to watch some KDarama this morning around 2am. But not right now.

im using kodi leia & Seren TV with Real Debrid
before 7 april i have no problems watching movie & tv shows
but on 7 april, all shows refuse to buffer, play like few seconds then stops, at first i suspect something to do with broken subway cable to US
today i tested again, using VPN, all movies & tv shows can stream smoothly, almost no buffering
so i think unifi is throttling P2P streaming

If on Android, try clearing the cache (not data) within box settings. If still problematic.. Manually download latest version from Kodi website and try installing over current installation. If still refuses to launch, then I suspect you have a corrupt installation. If logging enabled, you could crawl the log to see what errors are being thrown and or how to fix it. Although usually irreversible. Hope you have a recent backup? Calls for a nuke and restore/setup. Sorry.

Been hearing quite a few issues of problems on Unifi network lately. I myself can attest to this.. Visited pal with my box, same setting etc and encountered buffering or hard time streaming on his network .. No such issues with my TIME network. Although his is just 10Mbps.. I do recall having such in the past & one could still stream some stuff smoothly with that.. Unfortunately, ISPs & streaming services worldwide are being hammered harder than usual during this period. That might account for even more streaming issues.

confirmed something wrong with the box. probably the OS. running on Android 7.1.2 though.

using my PC on the same network, worked fine without VPN. same movie, same provider..PC starts download almost immediately. the box 0KB/s until timeout
i hard reset the box so it's clean installation of Kodi and Elementum.

failed experiment. now gotta setup everything again
