Yes yes...I forgot to mention that the dramas are from Icdrama...lol.
I found many old tvb dramas there which I wish to watch again. But all are chinese subtitles  sweat.gif
Not sure if there are any other options besides Icdrama and come with english subs..
*
the way online subtitles work...

.. the video must be done with a recognizable title; someone makes a sub corresponding to that title, list it in one or more providers.
.. newer, more popular videos, chinese or eng or korean... subs already exist from original, e.g. DVD or BD... someone just need to list it with a provider.
.. eng videos are watched worldwide, plenty of people list the subs on various providers, various european, middle eastern, asian languages.
.. these subs, u can access direct on the provider sites or via kodi.

.. chinese tv videos most popular in china, don't need eng subs; hk/canto/tvb not popular worldwide; old tvbs least popular - few want to make eng subs.
.. typically, china-taiwan-hk tv videos come with chinese subs only - for those who can't converse in but can read chinese.
.. the most popular chinese tv videos, blockbusters, e.g. three kingdoms, condor heroes... some fans make own eng subs and hardsub their own video version, e.g. fansub.
.. whether icdrama or other sites, u get what u get - hardsub or no sub, chinese or eng, depending on old or new, popular or not - that's it.

I used to get subtitles from from OpenSubs until it keeps asking for membership. Now i use BTScene (hope i spell it right, don’t have my TV on at the moment). I find that BTScene is much better than Subscene.

AVFAN explained well.. So what he says..

Opensubs still works great without their VIP membership. Both paid and free members get access to all subs available. VIP mostly is to browse ad-free, get direct download links right on the search page vs navigating the various funny ad links on the website and no ads within the srt file itself.. With the Kodi addon, you should be fine with free alone. Though, it's good to support such endeavors as they work hard to make our sailing across the high seas more pleasant.

I googled BTScene and it's a torrents aggregator.. Not subtitles website. For me, over the years, I've only needed either subscene or opensubs to fill all my needs. But then, I don't watch tvb dramas.. So different case. The Asian contents I watch all usually come with English subs included.. biggrin.gif

That be the wrong Blamo repo.. Latest and working on mine is V0.1.1

Uninstall whichever Blamo repo you have now and reinstall the repo from the official source thru File Manager. You should see repo...blamo...0.1.1.zip

many thanks for the link. this works and now on the latest version.
btw, is there any particular sites which are safe to refer and to avoid cases like this? my previous blamo repo is from a random google search link.

You can try those on the front page as they have been verified (well, if still working).. TBH, I don't hunt down addons as much as I used too. When I do, I share the good and personally verified stuff.. Normally only watch the high res stuffs (don't mind waiting months if I have to) and Quasar has been great for this. Nevertheless, you can always post here and available sifus will assist.

Thanks for the explanation. Went through icdrama and like u said, most newer or popular dramas come with eng subs

Hi all.

Bought an android box today - Hi Media Q10 Pro. Some funny things observed, can't login to play store, can't add Google account.

Coming to kodi, I subscribed to a premium Iptv server (used it on desktop via VLC before I got this). Added the m3u link to Kodi. Lags a lot (over 30k titles in that, about 800 iptv, rest streaming services). The load time is so long, lags so badly. Could it be due to over 30k content in the m3u list? Suggest to trim it down? PVR caching at every Kodi start up takes forever, hangs. Any suggestions please? Thanks

about kodi m3u lists...
what kodi version r u on?
yes, if the list is very long, it will take a long time to load, sometimes will hang.
not only with kodi but any player doing m3u lists.
if u hv good experience with vlc, u can install vlc app and try it.

Over 30k privately hosted titles. Each possibly with multiple links for redundancy... sweat.gif There is such a thing as too much.. Server issue.. Not Kodi.. Guess the premium isn't actually premium. Yours is a prime example of why I comment that subbing to all those "we have crazy thousands of IPTV+VOD" does not work out favorably. If the providers servers and bandwidth aren't capable (most cases they aren't) enough to handle the load, ultimately users will suffer too from long initial loading times and buffering. You didn't make mention of the service having updated EPG. Bruh, you haven't waited long yet.. biggrin.gif..Their devs are typically a handful and cannot cope with the load. Expect that service to either downsize significantly or die soon, not easy being YouTube. Ask IFlix..

Thank you very much. I have always loaded them m3u play lists in my pc via VLC. I was believing that the no lag on pc will be the same on an android box. Thanks a lot once again.

It's tough finding a provider to only cater to what I need. There are only over 700 Iptv channels, but lots of unwanted nonsense of having VOD, movies, series and stuff that I don't need to be preloaded together with an IPTV. Have always been loading them in my pc vial VLC previously and almost no or zero lag. Probably I have to manually trim this list to what I need only and to be loaded into Kodi. Thanks for the suggestions and help!

>tried Chrome Launcher (Super Repo) doesn’t seem to work or I’m missing something/settings?
EDIT: link clicked, website opened but Chrome didn’t come to foreground.

>tried Chromium (Super Repo) can’t install at all; looks like smth to do with OpenELEC (dunno what it is...)

That is not a tvad.me/pair link.. lots of phishing links nowadays ah..

Hmm, yeah.. My bad, didn't check if what's displayed matched the underlying url. Assumed it did. Page has ads everywhere, though according to virus total, the url appears clean for now. Those who need to, just visit the proper url tvad.me/pair and click the "Activate Streaming" button.

If running the latest versions and all other factors okay.. Can't be helped.. Use other addons. See earlier posts for suggestions.

You need to first install the Live TV addon "PVR IPTV Simple Client". Can be gotten from the official Kodi repo. After installing the addon, go into its settings, under the "General" tab, switch between either;
*Remote Path (online address) or
*as per your USB... Local Storage.
Once done, hit OK, go back and enable the PVR addon... If your list was done properly, you should see the Live TV section populate with the channels.. Next is to click and play.. Hope your links work.

Yes, you can setup auto-updating, but that means you'll have to provide a server of sorts for the addon to communicate with. While you update said server's m3u list with working links. I use premium aka paid service and this works superbly, with logos and EPG.. All automatically updated by the managers. Nope, i won't share publicly or via PM smile.gif .. So don't bother.. Just look around you. Sure find options. Remember, if it ain't legal....... whistling.gif
