Hmm.. If you haven’t already.. Try reinstalling both Quasar & Burst addons. If those still don’t work, could be the device or that p2p connections are blocked on your network.

u will not want anything else for eng movie n tv shows.
we hv seen developers charging memberships fees or selling "proprietory" IP/VPN, though.

i don't know much about about mibox, dfif models... can't comment much.
but i do seem to read a lot of mibox users having problems with kodi, be it quasar or other addons.
u probably want to go to the mibox thread and check with other users.

also, check yr memory/storage status.
a 1/8 or 2/8gb device, if u hv too many apps, much junk in there, u may hv only 1-2gb left.
when u try to do a 3gb file on quasar, obviously u will grind to a halt.

i have only 1 (one) addon on kodi - quasar, the only one i now use.
quasar 0.9.78 has been very stable for 2-3 months now.
kodi 17.5 is good, esp now that it allows more androids ac3/eac3 pass thru.
and i notice there is improvement for android hardware acceleration - less/no judders at the beginning of the stream.
i had been watching 1gb, 4gb,15gb streams since last week!

My kodi video add-on does not 'auto updates' all of it... do have any solution to it ?

FYI, My kodi is installed in TM's hyptv box...

if some addons worked, some don't, it means either those that don't work are dead/unmaintained or u have some old repos/garbage preventing them from working.

it is hard to isolate which is causing which.

so, it is best to do a clean reinstall.

i.e., remove everything, install 17.5.

then one by one, u put back the addons that work.

then try again those that did not work.

reminder again... with addon owners/providers under legal pressure, expect a lot of them to stop working.

In addition to what has already been suggested.

I'm running V17.5.1 on the Neo U1 too and have no issues with addons install, updates, etc. If a fresh install won't do it. I suggest you factory reset the firmware and start all over. Be careful what you install, not all repos are safe and stay away from builds. They can crap your install. Then make a backup when all good. This way, it's easy to nuke and restore if need be.
Ensure that you are running the latest FW013 firmware for the Neo U1.
Check addons settings and confirm that autoupdates are enabled. If an addon still doesn't autoupdate, could be that the repo has changed or that repo is unreachable at time of autoupdate (which is typically at Kodi first launch).

ahhh, alright! thanks! no wonder i managed to install some addons previously, and then now they just give me the error saying it failed to install its dependency.

There's an OTA update app included in the device.. Use it or head over to the official Minix forum to download. You’ll find clear instructions there.
