I actually given up using Quasar .. Hope somehow there are some better addons or a more stable version of Quasar can be used..

Anyway, just my observation.. I'm not 100% sure though.. I've tried disabling my firewall on my w7 , suprisingly it runs further for Quasar (as in able to search and some results actually showed)  as compared to enabling the firewall which has no search return at all..

But, funny thing is I tried it on GOT S6E7 and selected EZTV source 720p , it manage to download for 2-3% then it totally stop.. However searches under movie section (particularly Now You See Me 2) no source was found, even though the firewall was disabled..

So I got damn feddup, end up relying on other addons for my movies currently.. Only downside is can't play on a better audio source

Not necessarily, as V16 is stable.. but yeah, you can try V17.. You'd have to head over to the download section to manually download V17... under "developmental builds".
But before this.. Perform a fresh start and follow the instructions here to install the providers. I noticed, the site mentioned;

Nevertheless, try the traditional providers first and if it still fails (it shouldn't as I'm experiencing no issues) then switch to the newer providers.

Get n install both official and unofficial quasar repos, incl the mirror.

Then u select all repos, find and install quasar mc providers, not magnetic.

If u now hv magnetic, uninstall them, install again.

Kodi 16.1 is very stable, works good.

I yet to update to Krypton because no time last night. Do I need to backup my current setup first before updating?
And if yes, how do I backup?

I tried all possible steps already. Uninstall Quasar, uninstall magnetic, reinstall Quasar, reinstall quasar provider but all pin point to same result. No more Quasar provider, at least on my box.

Can you share what source/zip file/repo you using that still show quasar providers? Your Quasar addon is Quasar from fusion (official) or Quasar Unofficial?

Yes Im agreed with shinchan, although in Exodus I can watch 1080p , but the quality is different from Quasar. I do some reading in tvaddon.ag forum where the creator of magnetic actively foruming there. He did mentioned few addon such as magnetizer, torrenter and YATP.

Version 17 is a significant upgrade over v16.1 and better to do a fresh installation. Sorry, atm..can't remember exactly how it was setup, as I've been running this for quite sometime. The Quasar addon and its providers do work, as evident by reports from others. So not working on your setup, implies something wrong with it and not the addons.

if u understand the various types of files, u will understand why it is diff.

those providers u tried are probably dead or not linked correctly by the owner.

My Quasar do work 2-3 weeks ago but lately it cant be used. For example if I choose Jungle Book movie, I must repeat choose the "choose stream" option and even it show list of torrent files, all with 0 seeder/0 leecher. Maybe before I update, I can try provide pastebin log to the creator.

Different video sources have different timing. You have to find a matching subtitle to sync correctly with your video source.

You just have to keep selecting different subtitle until you find one that sync correctly.

There is also an option on you Kodi player that can adjust the timing of subtitles. Select the subtitles icon when the video is playing and then select Subtitle Offset to adjust.

That's just unfortunate.. At this point, all I can say is there's something within your setup that's not allowing the addon and its providers to work properly..
What Ngto says. Try to find exact matching subtitles names to the media title name. Finding such usually means a good sync between audio & text. Else, get the next best and during playback, use the offset feature and adjust accordingly till it matches.

i have checked around - only dubbed mandarin versions, canto version not out yet.

possibly hk producers controlling hard, sell the TV rights and DVDs first.

Is there any free live tv addon that actually works well?  I like Live Mix, but recently it doesnt work already.
