these are tough to get reliably in HD on kodi or any other app.

becos these are paid IPTV, free ones get blocked all the time.

SD ones, easy, they are everywhere.

HD ones, best to return to Astro or Hypptv.

so we can now removed superbuild? doesnt seems to getting anymore update.

Anyone here open up their STB before? You think maybe we can expand the RAM inside or not?

I hv stopped using it, but appreciated it very much, served me very well for 6 months.

Had to junk it since it occupied 2gb when what i use takes only 680mb with basic confluence.

About free live tv... news, sports, tv shows, documentaries, lifestyle, kids.... this is my experience:

Kodi
.. there are dozens of addons.
.. some lived and died within a month, some still going, some half dead.
.. e.g. phonenix, halow, ccloudtv, bbts, project cypher, oblivion, adriansupertv, made in canada, etc....
.. generally, hd ones are hard to get or dont last long.
.. sd ones generally work fine.
.. at this time, i find oblivion streams work the best, better than the rest.

Other Apps
.. china apps for china live tv is good, plenty in hd, incl live sports with mandarin commentary, tvplus2.0, hdp, boxerlive.
.. english ones... none i know for hd. Sd, try mobdro and uktvnow.... just google for apk.
.. reliable usa live tv in hd is hard to get.
.. malaysian local tv3,7,8,9 also hard to get.

Talking about the TM issued STB? It's not a customizable PC... Even if one possesses the tech know how to pull it off and can get the necessary hardware.. Besides, being a proof of concept project.. It won't be worth it, tons of better performing devices out there at cheap prices.. Get one..

True.. However, some forum members have managed to make do with it, as is.. I guess simpler needs from a media player and it's "free".. So works for em.. Those who feel otherwise, tend to get a different device.

For the record, right now... oblivion usa live tv is working very well.

Cnn, cnbc, amc, hbo, nat geo, food network.... 720 HD, all working good.

Nice treat, but more often than not, cant get them at all.

Bro, I'm wondering what's the best addons to watch latest Chinese Movie? Currently I'm using Icdrama, Exodus and Mr. Network TV.

I'm tried to install youku/bilibili/etc and most other china base addons, but seem like not working with streaming source error notification. ( Do I need to use VPN ?)

p/s: I'm using 2Mbps streamyx, so no live movie channel for me.

By any chance you used Asian tvs?

Specto is quite alright, for some reason it's almost like the same thing as Exodus.

2mbps is low, may not get much whether kodi or other apps.

for chinese stuff with canto audio and/or eng subs, ic drama is the best u can get on kodi now. u can try dramago, drama24h, dramanice too.

mandarin stuff... youku, bili, mango, cibn, letv, etc. are legit iptv. they don't work on kodi. but u can try the individual apps - can get something but not all since they are paid iptv, need membership/susbcription for full access. check at shafa.com. there used to be many "integrated" sites that work well but are getting shut down as a result of piracy control. so, it is now harder to get good stuff for free.

u mean those asian live tv channels in mr network tv?

all of them used to work before but many not maintained now or u need to register/pay for it.
taiwan, hk live tv is hard to get, china live tv is easy to get.

They are similar.. because they are based off their original.."Genesis", which was discontinued.

Spector is a fork of Genesis, while Exodus is a replacement for the Genesis addon...

So far its good for non-live stream source such as exodus. Most movie in the ICdrama are totally out dated(Chinese). For Mr. Network TV, only few of it working well so I dont really much depends on live stream. tonight try install dramago, drama24h, dramanice see got any surprise or not. Anyway, thank you for the suggestion.

entire selection is poor, but it has all the latest HK ones - trivisia, cold war 2, mobfathers, three... and they all work in 720!
