for kodi apps, is there any auto app update like play store?

if not, can we update the apps or we need to delete and install again once a new version is out?

kodi can support 1080p.

all addons can support 1080p.

it's just that the providers of icdrama and others choose to put streams up to 720p only.

prime reason is usually becos such streams are meant for mobile devices, 720p is good enough.

anyway, so called "1080p" streams on kodi are usually heavily ripped to 1-2gb or so, can barely qualify in strict terms.

the only addon where u can get better 1080p videos of 5, 8, 10, even 40gb size is with quasar - for that, u need both the speed and the memory.

Yup! I only used these TV not long ago.    But used Quasar to watch a movie definitely faster than download the entire files to watch.

Anyway! I have a Live TV apps which has many HD channels, it has TV dramas, variety Shows, Concerts, Movies, 4K Movies, 4K Concerts, 4K documentary etc.

It can replay 4-5hrs pre-recorded vid on each channels. I using it a lot because changing channels is pretty fast. The only down side is when opening the app sometime it might take 20-30sec but once loaded and changing channels it is very smooth.
