That is like an open invitation for the taxman to open up your file and scrutinise under a microscope. So far all the friends/people I know who took the bold step and bought their investment properties using cold hard cash have had encounters with LHDN and end up paying more enriching their accountant. In the end also had to pay penalty to LHDN.

That is the kind of risk one has to undertake when buying auctioned properties. If got the opportunity to conduct dew diligence before attending auction would be the best instead of happily bidding and ending up with shocking feeling and displeasure after.

That's pretty much the same thought I had in mind but still someone was brave enough to step forth as a bidder and won the auction. All comes down to willing seller, willing buyer.

That planning does sound good. Just hope it materialise in the near future. The mall is still struggling to see the day light. Hopefully they can complement each other when completed.

Makes sense, after one year and business is struggling to make ends meet, the only other option is to relocate to a location that has more crowd/traffic. No point to renew lease and start paying rent.

Never underestimate the logic and action outcome from our government, especially the current one. It would really shock a lot of people if they did approve their working permits. Surprised that bumi contractors never make noise about this.

They most probably bring their own cooks and kitchen utensils to setup own eateries. Otherwise, their own PRC people open restaurants/cafes to cater cheap PRC food. You could give it a try as they will get bored and want to try other eateries.

That was kinda exactly what I suspected as well. Since being raided, they would need a new base of operation. Bet they would pay the rent upfront with no qualms. Just wait and see.

Marriot Hotel is different from JW Marriot, well at least I hope they are not the same. Would not do the latter any justice located in the surrounding area.

Yes, it's the same. What we're seeing is their pasted advertisement all over. The government freezed and seize their monies in the bank account, hence why we had a group of 300 PRC that came here to protest, demanding their investment money back.
