This is common to all car I believe. Underneath car are exposed to all kind of dirt and water when traveling on and off the road. Some people even change to stainless steel exhaust piping. I believe the car steels are galvanized. Normally the corrosion is on surface and they do not get rotten fast. Well I think it still can last more than 10 years

TS I think you should update the common problems section with more info like if install this/that that don't require cutting of wire WILL NOT void warranty. also common things to check upon receiving car. or if change rim then void warranty or not etc etc as many people are asking although has been repeated many times. it'll make the thread cleaner and more organized. just my suggestion

rule of thumb you change something that is covered under warranty then that particular item that you change will be void example:

change to bigger rim/spring/adjustable/different absorber = void for your suspension warranty ONLY not void the whole car warranty

just to share I have changed many things in the car and am also servicing outside, not in perodua so therefore in paper my warranty is supposed to be void because I did not service my car in perodua service centre or dealer BUT I managed to claim engine mounting warranty from perodua just by asking nicely. sometimes is your luck and the way you present yourself as the people at SC are humans too so don't go in and complain this that bla bla bla, no one will want to help you.

and to those that are worry about warranty is really best not to do anything to the car if warranty is your main concern.
if you want to change then pls be prepared for the part you want to change to be void from warranty

today send car to service in perodua svc centra chit chat with mechanic regarding noise .Mechanic say noise came fr  radio player is not bracket is the player component itself. Even myvi n alza got noise on the car .The best myvi is still the 2004 model he say .He also told me  new perodua car coming this year with  keyless entry 

got a minor scratch on the hood on 2nd day, probably caused by cat or just some flying rocks  

heard polish can fix it, what brand good? hopefully not so expensive

How spray anti rust? Need take out the exhaust. Need to send to workshop?

I have a maroon anti rust paint. But it hard for me to clean the rusty hook without unhook ot from the rubber. Our jack not high enough. I think still need to send to shop. As the ppl there to take the exhaust out and clean it. I notice the second hook also rust very bad just somewhere behind the engin block.

Hi all,
a newbie here, i wanted to ask something about warranty. My axia's aircon broke down yesterday and i made appointment today to sent for claiming warranty. They used up whole day to diagnose and told me that is compressor leaking. They said it may take up to 3 weeks to order the parts and i have to make another appointment once the spare parts arrived. Is it ridiculous that it takes up to 3 weeks to get a new compressor for a local make car?

My car is lemon first batch so I only manage to claim ac compressor, clucth cable, shifter cable when it reach 20k km. Only that thing so far. After that till now nothing breakdown. I never service my ac also. When my car reach 9xk km i ask PJ SA to do full inspection, yet nothing can claim. waste my rm18 for inspection labour. 

Till today still no suddenly stranded on the road, just battery start to weaken when my car just reach 148000 or 1 year 5 month, got sign when start up the car, the starter feel not enough of juice but still can start. Next day after wake up from long hour journey my car fail to start, lucky got jumper cable. Changed MF battery for rm195 at perodua teluk intan. The battery rebrand by perodua because only got perodua sticker, not sure what brand.
1. Now on 2nd set of tyre. Maybe can last till 160k km. My Goodyear hit 100k km marks already. Use it since 50k km. Bought it 2nd hand actually, maybe the owner used below 5k km only. The front tyre not yet reach indicator. Only rotate once. Alignment only done once when my car reach odo 40k km. Till now the car goes straight. 
2. Never replace. Feels the same as new. I also ask sa to check mounting before warranty expired, and the result still ok. 
3. Not yet. Seems can last till 200k km.
4. Soften not weaken maybe. But no sign of leaking, so did not manage to claim warranty. Yes, im using stock.
5. So far nothing squeaks or clicking. Driveshaft also no sound when fully turns.
