hope you guys never put too much of silica gel.
Silica gel is good, but from my readings a lot of silica gel will dry up the humidity.
The problem with silica gel in a plastic tupperware is that, you cannot monitor the humidity inside the box. You would never know the actual humidity without a humidity meter.
It's better to get the cheap dry box at digicolor, which also need to add a silica gel, but on top of it still got a meter to monitor the humidity. Dont risk it lar, you buy 1k lens, and suddenly all the lubricant inside it dry up, the lens start to zoom slow and tighter. Need to send to service, and got to pay service charge.
