This, "AEON E-Wallet", is a card that works with AEON cards, which makes it possible for shoppers at Malaysian AEON Shops to do shopping with only their smartphones. Malaysia is the first to introduce cards with payment functions among our Group Companies.

"We realize that there is an increase in the use of mobile payments, thus the AEON E-Wallet will not only provide our customers with convenience, but also a safe and secure payment system," said Mr. Shinobu Washizawa, Managing Director of AEON Asia Sdn Bhd.

We have also officially introduced the electronic money "AEON Member Plus Card" linked with AEON E-Wallet. This "AEON Member Plus Card" is a card which can charge money from your bank account at ATM operated by AEON Credit, a cashier or service counter of AEON Malaysia. You can use this card at any stores which accept VISA.


Interesting about the member plus card, it comes with Visa and wave competition to BigPay's ewallet + mastercard (no wave).

You are able to perform top-up to your account as long as your account balance does not exceed the Wallet size. As for cash withdrawal, the maximum amount per day is set at RM4,500, 3 times per day (maximum RM1,500 per withdrawal) or reaches RM0.00 balance in your account whichever comes first.

aeon credit services is NOT a bank, aeon is a FI (financial institution)

to connect to PayNet, iinm, need banks to participate.

currently, aeon is partnering with Citibank (could be different) as their partner bank. both parties have special arrangement for settlement (e.g. IBG to citibank, citibank transfer fund to aeon credit services, settlement report to aeon for reconcile, etc)

Eligible Cardholders are required to spend 5X on Petrol transactions (minimum spend RM50 per transaction) in order to get RM25 Cashback.
Transaction done on the selected Petrol Category will be based on the Merchant Category Code (MCC) 5541 and 5542 that is captured by AEON Credit Service system.
The Cashback is capped at RM25 per cardholder throughout the campaign Period. The total Cashback Pool for this Campaign is RM50,000.
The Cashback will be awarded to the first 2,000 eligible cardholders based on first come first served basis.
Transaction made by Supplementary Cardholders will be taken as the Principal card spend . Only the principal cardholders will be entitled for the Cashback.
