If yes, based on understanding, Aeon Membership Card need to renew, RM10 for a year while RM24 for 3 years

If not mistaken, there have Aeon Gold & New Aeon Gold Card.

Annual fee and SST charge to my Aeon Gold Card, viewed from latest statement.

Annual fee is auto waived with 12 transactions, for SST however, a called to Customer Service Team request for offer and need to swipe RM150 within 3 months, will credit back after that.

X12 is for other Aeon credit cards

Aeon Platinum Credit card no such offer and need to minimum spend 18k (if no mistaken) within anniversary year, I have cancelled mine last year

But for annual fee, subsequent year waived with minimum of 12 transactions per year

I recall that Aeon Platinum didn’t come with annual fee waiver regardless of number of transactions, unlike for other Aeon credit card.

My old Aeon Gold credit card recently was expired on Jan 2021 with fulfilled x12 transactions.
Therefore, a new Aeon Gold credit card has been replaced and active on Dec 2020.

However, AF still charged to my new gold card, called CS team to verify as x12 transactions been fulfilled.
Get to know that old card of x12 transactions unable "bring forward" to new card, thus, I have to pay for it.

With that, CS team checked and return the call with an offer where require 5 x transaction with each of minimum RM50 (in total RM250) in order to get rebate of AF.
Not too bad, since still need to swipe x12 for new card within anniversary year.

A sms will be sent to your registered phone number once new card ready to be collected from branch

If I was you, I will clear all outstanding balance in case annual fee cannot be waived.

Since you have redeemed points for SST, don’t think you can transfer it into cash, I would say just forgot about it since redeemed.

You should not redeemed points to offset SST in the first place because annual fee could not be waived unless you spend and hit the minimum spending

If you’re frequent follow here, for Aeon Platinum credit card unlikely getting waiver for annual fee, but still can try

When reaching anniversary month, reward points advisable to redeem all before call to cancel or ask for waiver, because we need to prepare in case waiver unsuccessfully, otherwise, reward points may forfeit if cancel or redeem unwanted item (e.g. annual fee/SST) from your end, same goes to other credit card as well, this is what I practice and manage my dozen of credit cards 😁
