Hi sifus, as a start up for wedding photography, is RM10k sufficient enough to buy some decent gear?

If yes, what would it be? Which body and lens that you recommend and why?

It will be used for actual wedding/dinner.. Not pre-wedding..

Thanks yall in advance.. smile.gif

some would say 70-200 f4 L cos it's lighter than below

some would say 70-200 f2.8 L for its low light as you will be shooting indoors

body wise 70d is a very capable camera

as long it fits the budget.. i wouldnt mind laugh.gif

If you are open to used and not new, can get the combo
1) Canon 6D + 24-70 F2.8 Mk2 + 430EXII
2) Nikon equivalent of the above

Preferably new but used is okay too..

for starting, ok la.

my gear
nikon d610
nikkor 24-70mm
nikkor 24mm, 50mm, 85mm
sb700
i think canon is user friendly.
10k,

suggest u buy 5dmkiii + 35mm + 50mm + speedlight canon 580ex

and a pc for post editing.

I'm a nikon user myself so most probably will get back nikon..

full frame body + 24-70 + 50/1.4 + flash (highest GN you can afford).

or

apsc body + 16-50 + 35/1.8

couple of spare batteries.

p/s: this is just the 'starter pack'

noted..

but why no one mentioned wide angle lens? hmm.gif

That's an excellent setup, just get yourself a flash and you're good to go.
